I wonder why these new chargers are only in a few Apple online stores worldwide. I’ve found them in the US, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan but nowhere else (checked Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Türkiye, the UAE, Brazil, Australia, India and China). Is it possible that Apple is currently producing it only for countries that use the US electrical outlet and voltage?

Yes, there only seems to be a US version so far, so it’s only sold in countries that use outlets compatible with the US standard.

(Voltage, on the other hand, doesn’t actually matter as these chargers are invariably universal voltage now days.)

In markets outside of the above, it does appear that Google's Pixel Flex 67w charger will also do the job. It supports both USB PD 3.2 PPS and AVS. No folding pins in the UK, but if you want to charge your new iPhone 17 at the highest possible rate, this should do the trick and has two ports (just don't plug a Pixel into the other one, otherwise it gets prioritised 🙃: https://store.google.com/gb/product/google_usb_c_67w_charger

Interestingly, when using the Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max to charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max, ChargerLab reports that “..the charging power is about 27.23W” and the 15V/3A/45W protocol is utilized.

Perhaps the iPhone 15-16 models are limited to 40W? Perhaps the vapor chamber cooling technology on the iPhone 17 Pro (and 17 Pro Max) will enable the device to temporarily consume 60W?
