iPhone 17 Pro: 12GB RAM Rumor Gets Third Confirmation From Analyst

If these images are true, the new iPhone is going to be one of the ugliest smartphones ever.
Renderings often look worse than the finished product. By now, a good number of people at Cupertino have seen them and if the 17 Pro/17 Pro Max really would look ugly, they would make that clear to Tim. They, their families and their friends will be using them after all. I have a feeling they will look alright.

The design is whatever. But it's interesting I that, if Apple continues this path the natural progression is gating additional AI features with higher RAM floors. Which is what it is. At least more RAM right?

Not the bump itself but the camera housing seem to protrude further than the bump (!) on one side, which looks like it would rock.
Damn, I see what you mean, now. WTF, that means any case that will also protect the lenses will have a huge bump!

With the state of apple intelligence being what it is, who even gives a F anymore? WWDC 2025 will have to introduce some pretty compelling features in ios19 otherwise who cares ? Siri is still not up to the task.

Yeah, I don’t know if it’s the lack of the right people working at Apple or some other reason, but Siri has been playing catch up for years. I don’t have much hope that Siri 2.0 will be good enough to match the competition. Apple will probably need a plan b or something to wow the masses because AI so far has been a dud.

The 12gb ram rumour seems legit, confirmed for the third time by the same analyst. I am not sure what rumour to believe, the 2025 mill seems like a giant mess. Who would take Jon Prosser iphone renders seriously, seriously!

What we should all know by now is that Apple will just do the minimum to stay competitive. Surely the 16e is evidence of that. Now I'm fine with that as I don't see anyone doing anything significantly better. Expecting anything more than incremental change is being over-optimistic. Let's hope I'm wrong!

Seriously am I the only person that thinks those renderings look absolutely gorgeous?? Why all the hate. I can’t wait to get that phone in my hands. I have an iPhone 16 Pro but will definitely be upgrading to get the 3 48MP cameras. Probably will have 8k video too. Very exciting! Take my money Apple… 😄
I wouldn't go as far as calling the renders gorgeous but I also don't understand all the hate.

Aesthetic preferences are very individual so I accept that others do hate this rumoured full width bump even if I personally can't understand why. I also see some potential practical benefits because presumably the wider bump gives the Apple hardware engineers some extra internal volume to play with which hopefully they can make use of.

A dud indeed.

The more I look at it, the more it seems to grow on me. Maybe if it was the same color as the rest of the phone it would look a little better, but it does remind me of my X. 12GB RAM and the big camera upgrades will make the 17 Pro compelling even to 15 Pro and 16 Pro users.
