iPhone 17 Pro Could Come in Surprising Orange Color, Dummy Models Suggest

When it sits within a separate glass panel, not shown here, it makes more sense
I’d say it’s a “Papaya Orange” but some of you have come with a better name, such as “Dusty Pumpkin”. Anyways, not my cup of tea, personally.

I always go "pure" with whites/creams etc.
This year I think I'll go with black, for a change.
I'll be putting a clear, Apple silicon case on it, so it will be protected against chips/scratches.

My eyes are immediately drawn to it for every wrong reason, I almost can't stop looking at it, fortunately that device wide bump helps to distract me.
The aluminum part will be metallic, but not the glass part. And the exact Pantone color for the non-aluminum part was already leaked earlier.

I see we’re back to super boring low saturation colors on the Regular and now Air. Better grab a second 16 in amazing Ultramarine post-launch in case mine breaks.
This color choice will resonate with the incarcerated population.

I would like the iPhone to have the metallic orange in the image shown below from a recent Mac Rumors story. Or the yellow, or blue, or red. But especially the green.
Something other than dull colours is nice.
Orange colour looks new, so I will check it once it's launched. But I am not a huge fan of aluminium, so I am not sure!
The orange is ugly as hell, but the blue is ok. I may go with it. If it turns out ugly... back to white for me.

Apple has released some really odd iPhone color lineups in the past decade (though the 16 was probably the best). It’s so out of left field, contrasting with the pastels of the other lines. How about some primary colors?

Yup, exactly. It takes on a deeper, metallic tone than displayed on the dummy models, which is what I was referencing. The dummy models don't do it justice. Simply looking at the Pantone color doesn't give you a sense of what it will look like either.

I don't have a phone or iPad that support it, and my one device that does (M2 MacBook Air) I hardly even use it because of how half-baked it is
Unless Apple can really get the ball rolling on this, they may as well throw the towel in where they are now for it and just let Siri talk to other models like ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Sonnet, etc etc
It also depends on which parts will be aluminum and which will be glass. There is contradictory information for example regarding the camera bump.
However, the ring color looks less saturated to me than a deep orange would. So I wouldn’t expect a saturated orange look overall. The choice of Pantone color indicates that they are going for a paler, slightly salmon-y orange.
