It also depends on which parts will be aluminum and which will be glass. There is contradictory information for example regarding the camera bump.

However, the ring color looks less saturated to me than a deep orange would. So I wouldn’t expect a saturated orange look overall. The choice of Pantone color indicates that they are going for a paler, slightly salmon-y orange.
Yes, totally depends on materials.

But I would be very surprised if it's the pale, salmon-like color and not a deeper, more metallic one, based on their track record of Pro device colors. Thinking specifically of the Midnight Green (their best Pro color IMHO), the deeper blue of the 12 Pro Max, etc.

We shall see very soon!

The bump is to accommodate some new camera hardware. The vapor chamber is a larger (but thin) panel spanning much of the space inside the housing, somewhat smaller in width and height than the entire rectangular housing, though the exact size seems to vary depending on the smartphone model:

Thanks for posting that video! I learned new things today.

Navy all the way. 😍
Was thinking orange, now I see it’s a creamsicle orange and not that attractive. Where is the copper orange we heard about.

Navy is likely it for me.
I’m a huge fan of the color orange, but I’m not sure I can take having a color that will look dated a year later. Not to mention the fact that I love the raw titanium 15PM I’ve got, that is I love the raw titanium, and shifting back to aluminum doesn’t seem like an upgrade to me.
It’s like the cool orange metallic colored cars, look great at first then in a year or so tbe color isn’t so hot and your stuck with it.

Natural titanium is my 16 pro max, leaning towards dark blue this year. I’ll wait to see is shown at the event on September.

We're just six weeks away from the launch of new iPhone models, and rumors are ramping up as September creeps closer. We've heard plenty of details about the prospective colors for the iPhone 17 lineup, but leaker Sonny Dickson today shared iPhone 17 dummy models that supposedly feature the shades that Apple has picked.

iPhone-17-Colors.jpg

Dickson's images feature the iPhone 17 Pro models in black, white, dark blue, and orange. The orange shade is particularly bright and not typically in line with what Apple chooses for the Pro models. Apple's colors are often more muted, but it could be an issue of angle or lighting. Prior leaks suggested that the orange could be more of a copper color than a true orange, so we'll have to wait to see how closely the dummy model matches with the final color.

The dark blue shade is more of what we'd expect for an iPhone 17 Pro, though even it isn't quite as subdued as what Apple usually chooses. It's worth noting that rumors have suggested the 17 Pro models could also be available in a gray color, which is missing here. There were also rumors of a color shifting shade that appears white but changes color with light, which also doesn't seem to be depicted.

As for the iPhone 17 Air, the dummy models are depicted in black, white, gold, and a light blue, similar to the light blue of the MacBook Air. Those are all four colors that we've seen rumored for the iPhone 17 Air.

The iPhone 17 models are shown in black, white, blue, and a purple that looks more like a pink. Rumors have suggested the iPhone 17 could come in black, white, steel gray, purple, and light blue. The blues for the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are similar, but not identical.

Dummy model designs are often accurate, but the colors the dummy models come in don't always provide the clearest picture of what an iPhone will actually look like. Differences in lighting, sheen, and material often mean that the final version of the iPhone looks a lot better than what leaks.

Love it! Orange, Blue and Black are great! 7000 Grade Aluminum will allow for lighter phones and more vibrant colors!

iPhone 16 Pro owner here.
Can't wait to see the iPhone 17 Air in real. It's definitely an interesting model despite the fact that the battery life will be worse than the Pro model.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about the colour of a phone? I slap a case on it and call it a day. I guess those who brave it without a case can enjoy their chipped orange after the first or second drop!
I've used clear cases in the past so I could see the colors of my Sierra Blue 13 Pro and Midnight Green 11 Pro (the latter being my favorite iPhone color of all time).

With the boring 16 Pro color selections I just got it in black and slapped a dark blue case on it to give it some color.

Yeah, that is a much deeper orange than it appeared in the other dummy photos (posted in the article by MacRumors).

The color is probably going to be copper or close to it. I think these dummy models aren’t presenting the true color.
