That's right, folks, the tiny startup that could, Apple, is once again not seeking to be the first but in the best in skating to where the puck will be. This represents the biggest advancement in the iPhones screen since iPhone X. The ALL NEW anti-reflective coating is a game changer, allowing for the best-in-class Retina display to truly shine in all light conditions. Apple can't wait to see what their delighted, ultra-pro customers are able to do with the INCREDIBLE leap forward in display technology. Apple thinks you're gonna love it.

I think we will see a brighter anti-reflective screen on the 17 Pro/Max. 17 vanilla/Air get the same screen as the 16 vanilla/Plus.

Just fix your AI apple. Samsung is absolutely crushing you when it comes to AI and its honestly embarrassing at this point.

So, what is the difference between this and the nano-texture display that Apple sells an upsell upgrade on their Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro devices?

Will Apple market this upgraded display technology as Nano texture as well on their iPhone 17 Pro models come September?

I hate screen protectors on my phone so I hope this is true. But not getting my hopes up.

When does the apple cleaning gets a dirt resistant anti-dirt reflective coating ?

I don’t even care. I’ve now been converted to matte screen protectors and I won’t be going back to glossy any time soon.

Anti scratch and anti reflective display will be nice but I don't want to have a matte screen. Maybe this display too is available only as an option on the higher storage variants of the Pro models.

You might. Have you seen on Samsungs how anti-reflective this thing is in person? It's still glossy in principle, but it's phenomenal. The difference is not subtle, it's huge. And if Apple pushes/helps to research an improved version soon?... Can't wait for this to come to iPhones.

The 17 Pro is sounding like a very substantial upgrade over my 14 Pro with this new feature in addition to the significantly upgraded cameras, vapor chamber, 12GB RAM, orange/copper color, etc.
I'm considering an upgrade from my 14 Pro to 17 Pro... 6.3" v 6.1", 48MP Telephoto, 24MP Front, 12GB RAM, USB C, Smaller Dynamic Island, possible Dark/Deep/Pacific Blue

Worth remembering that Corning gets a *lot* of R&D funding from Apple. It’s unlikely Apple didnt have access to the tech, so there’s likely valid reasons (maybe involving scale or yield?) that made Apple the follower not the leader in this case, not sloth

Does the girl come with the phone? If so, is AppleCare available?

I was focused on the Air model but, with news of an orange color for the Pro and Pro Max, along with this news, I am now eying this series.

Would this essentially be a matte effect instead of glossy? I've been using matte screen protectors for the past year or so and love them. Would there be any quality issues if I'm putting a matte (privacy) protector on a phone that has matte glass?

I use a matte glass screen protector on my iPhone 16 Pro and it’s an understated greatly how good it is under bright lights and bright sun light. It is absolutely phenomenal and the added benefit of not setting fingerprint oil on the screen or any smudges.

As a hater of all cases and screen protectors, it’s going to really suck if I have to decide between titanium frame and a more durable screen. I just want the most durable phone. Aluminum dents too easily, but a more scratch resistant screen would indeed be tempting. Just put it on the Air and let me buy the shiny new model please!!
