It does if you let it run under 20%, but I like to keep it over 20%... and yes, I probably should use my phone less. I know. The 16P already does, so any improvement to that will be awesome.

I easily get all day battery life with hours of fairly heavy use of my 16 Pro.Hope the small Pro really has a awe dropping battery life that lasts a day long.
On EE you can convert your SIM to an esim, and also transfer existing esim to another phone via QR code. So if we get esim only iPhones 17’s in the UK then it ‘appears’ be a straightforward process.I'm hoping we at least get the option...
The e-sim activation was really weird when it first came out, not a lot of providers had it, each of them used different activation method (at least in Europe), for some providers You needed to go into the store to get it activated etc. sometimes it was painful/bug ridden process that did not work 100% of the times, when I activated my e-sim few years ago it did not transfer into apple watch correctly few times, needed to go into the store twice to get it fixed, which took time, now You get a QR code from a provider or they activated in via their system and it should work without an issues, but still every carrier uses different method and at least in my country from like 10 carriers, only 4 supports it in some way of form, but only 2 of them for prepaid, and for contract they use different methods, not all of them support apple watch etc.
yes, but this year it seems apple is targeting android phones with 6000mAh battery lifeI feel like we hear this every year.
The list on this link is not complete for Australia, my provider is not listed. Don’t think we can expect Apple to keep it updated for 200+ countries and thousands of carriers.Apple has a page to check by country the providers that offer eSIM and the types of activation, transfer etc. they support:
Find wireless carriers and worldwide service providers that offer eSIM service on iPhone - Apple Support
An eSIM is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a mobile data plan from your network provider without having to use a physical nano-SIM. Find out which wireless carriers in your country or region offer cellular plans on an eSIM, either activated by eSIM Carrier Activation, eSIM Quick...support.apple.com
ahh right, I thought it was something simple like that. cheeebus wheeez...The e-sim activation was really weird when it first came out, not a lot of providers had it, each of them used different activation method (at least in Europe), for some providers You needed to go into the store to get it activated etc. sometimes it was painful/bug ridden process that did not work 100% of the times, when I activated my e-sim few years ago it did not transfer into apple watch correctly few times, needed to go into the store twice to get it fixed, which took time, now You get a QR code from a provider or they activated in via their system and it should work without an issues, but still every carrier uses different method and at least in my country from like 10 carriers, only 4 supports it in some way of form, but only 2 of them for prepaid, and for contract they use different methods, not all of them support apple watch etc.

In Europe, there are still providers that only offer physical SIM cards. I have a very cheap plan for $8 a month for a 300 GB, but the provider doesn't offer eSIM at all.why does esim / phys sim matter to people ? Is it only people who change phones like their underwear ? I have only seen my sim once when i put it in my phone 3 years ago. I think it makes no difference if it's esim or phys sim?

And it's still easier to use a physical SIM card when you go abroad than to look for a provider that supports e-SIMs.
*slaps roof* You can fit so much mAh's in this bad boy. When you add a huge camera forehead, you have room for a few extra mAh’s.
I’m with EE. Fingers crossed then 🤞🏼EE are posting adverts for eSIM on YT and Lebara (one of few who didn't) just started supporting eSIM from September.... coincidence?
We’ll soon see…If they are using batteries with higher density that actually weigh less, that is great. Just putting in a larger/heavier battery isn't much of an accomplishment.
Same here. Plus, seemingly unlike everyone else, I don't spend my day on a desert island with no power. I charge in my car when driving and have a charger at my desk and a few at home.I easily get all day battery life with hours of fairly heavy use of my 16 Pro.
Think this is likely as all the major carriers support eSIM and have done for a while. Will the UK be getting eSIM iPhones?
The SIM slot is at the end of the motherboard. I don’t know… maybe you could make the motherboard shorter?I call BS when they say the battery will be bigger for the SIM card-less version. Which side of the current phone is the SIM card tray on? The side where the motherboard is. You can't have a bigger battery as the motherboard is in the way.
