It’s for a larger periscope lens which extends out from the right lens

2900 mAH wow I wonder how they going to pull it off, the S25 Edge has terrible battery life at 3900.

Curious to know what’s in all the empty space in the 17 Air, the battery is significantly smaller than the S25 Edge yet it’s the same thickness.

Maybe unlike Samsung they're utilizing a high density battery which allows them more density. The extra space might also be for a vapor chamber since they tend to run hot.

The 15 and 16 Pros did not have a Titanium frame, they had an aluminum frame with 1mm of Titanium coating. So the 17 Pro having an aluminum frame isnt as big a change as people are making out out to be.
Exactly, like I posted in this thread here above, this titanium thing it is just an apple intelligence kind of scam.

I miss the X so much, I wish Apple would make another just like it, but I doubt it. That thing got looks, design, form, function, the feel of it in your hand especially without a case, it felt like something Steve Jobs would have approved of.

Did you ever hold the XS in your hand? How did that compare? And the 11??

I think I was looking up size differences a few months ago and X is smaller than both the 11 and the XS…

I think I can solve this mystery! The camera bump's purpose is to house complex cameras and lenses without making the entire phone much thicker and heavier. But that's just a wild stab in the dark; maybe the camera bump is where Apple keeps the space hamsters powering the iPhones by running on their little hamster wheels.
Oh come on! A camera bump for housing new camera components? How is that even possible?? It's much easier for me to believe in the space hamster theory.

I'm pretty happy with the design change, we've been starved of a real design change for nearly 6 years ffs.

Thank god Jeff Williams leaving and low sales have forced apple to stop being so LAZY.

Nothing from these renders is as UGLY as the iPhone 6/6S models, disgusting.

Now we await the colours and hopefully a stunning blue and orange.

" In a report outlining his expectations for Apple's event next week, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said the iPhone 17 Pro models will have "a new cutout area on the bottom two-thirds of the phone that doubles as the wireless charging area."

The only thing Gurman is good at is copying information from other websites and presenting them as HIS predictions!
And we only can guess what the buiseness relation between him and macrumos is.

I thought that was common knowledge? It seemed like they were trying to make the Pro stronger, but everyone knows you can’t cover a wireless charging coil with metal, hence a glass window.

Here’s to hoping the iPhone Pro eventually gets a small lip around the display, a little thicker than the lip on the Apple Watch Ultra, and then I won’t need a case.
