Do not worry. They saw that people like it, so they will bring two tone design next year. Since this year sales will be affected by the international policies, they decided to go with second best option. On the plus side, they will have something new for next year. This is what Gurman told meLike the M4 iPad Pro?
That's unfortunate.
Design and opinions are obviously subjective, but I feel this is one of the worst camera bumps Apple has ever made.
Titanium feels sooooooo much more premium than aluminum though. Aluminum is prone to scratches, chips and scuffs just from regular use. Hate to see that on a premium device.Or it could be that now the phones are continuing to get thicker and heavier, especially with the 17 pro range, they need to strip weight where possible. Aluminium is lighter than titanium.
Aluminium has a density of around 2.7 g/cm³, while titanium's density is about 4.5 g/cm³.
I'm not sure if these are your words or someone else's, but I must have read them before. This sentiment stands out to me. The design going around in images just doesn't seem to make much sense.“I really hope the iPhone 17 Pro Max doesn’t end up looking like this render. What’s the point of having such a large bump if it still can’t hide the camera protrusion? My Sony Xperia 1V sits flat—unlike my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which constantly wobbles.”
Get a good looking case.🤭🤭🤭All of us that don't want an ugly case.
I’ve been hesitant about the new proposed design ever since I first saw it. I understand that we won’t know for sure until the product is released in September. My Xperia features "continuous optical zoom between 85mm f/2.3 (3.5x) and 125mm f/2.8 (5.2x) on the main camera"(from Sony's site)—yet there’s no noticeable bump. In fact, with a case on, it even looks slimmer than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. So, the technology clearly exists, but Apple’s implementation doesn’t always look the best. Anyone using a Sony Xperia 1V or 1VI would likely agree.I'm not sure if these are your words or someone else's, but I must have read them before. This sentiment stands out to me. So you can activate your toilet from your iPhone? That’s odd… 😉My kingdom for a flush iPhone.
I never got this issue with “wobbling”.“I really hope the iPhone 17 Pro Max doesn’t end up looking like this render. What’s the point of having such a large bump if it still can’t hide the camera protrusion? My Sony Xperia 1V sits flat—unlike my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which constantly wobbles.”
specs are something I never worry about with Apple.I really dont care about that color, i care if it shoots 8K or not. Years ago i wished we could go from the tiny iPhone 6 camera ring to the great flat iphone 5 design. And now we have these monstrosities sticking out of the phone like tumors. They better give us great specs too
Im using my iphone to record a lot of interviews. I need to zoom into that interview footage to show one or the other person in the interview. Currently the only way to do that with an iPhone is to record in 4k and then export in 1080p after aa maximum of 50 % zoom. I would much rather record in 8K and zoom and export in 4k. 4k is the standard these days for youtube videos and other places but the iphone 16 pro cant do that. Pixel 9 pro phones can, Samsung galaxy s25 phones can. But iphone cannot. Apple is selling “pro” iPhones. This is a feature that apple can easily include. The sensor size is big enough, the processor is fast enough, but still they havent included it. So i hope that strange camera bar is at least good for something and gives us a useful feature that would allow us to zoom into video after recording.specs are something I never worry about with Apple.
iPhones are usually good In That category.
Eh that’s a very niche use though. I’m sure there’s plenty an iPhone does that Samsungs and pixels don’t. Namely it doesn’t run android which is a plusIm using my iphone to record a lot of interviews. I need to zoom into that interview footage to show one or the other person in the interview.
