Standard, max, pro, air, SE. Are they all going to sell better than the mini did? Feels hypocritical they said mini was not profitable enough to continue production.

I'm not sure they ever even said that about the Mini - I think it's been inferred and spread, telephone game style, as the "correct narrative" about what happened.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong and there are public statements about this from Tim or other execs -- perhaps in investor calls?

Who even looks at the back of their phone, can we get innovation to the front with a small cut out?

I’m not sure there’s much Apple or anyone can really do to dramatically improve smartphones at this point. No one cares about innovations in refrigerators. I think something similar is happening with phones. But what I’m worried about is if Apple has a “line must go up” mentality they will screw up the iPhone to try to juice their quarterly sales and make it a worse product for their customers. At some point you have to reach market saturation and be content to make the same $25 billion each quarter. Gee, is that really so bad?

Be that as it may… you’re still not getting a new Mini.

iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are the best looking 2 camera iPhone followed by iPhone X and XS/XS Max and iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus

I don't like the iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 camera implementation

It doesn’t matter. The Mini is no longer being produced.

The total strangers who compel some of us to show we own "latest & greatest" instead of last year's models. User tends to look at the front but them strangers around us only see the back. They must see that we own the latest! ;)

I like the design and the size of the 16. I have it in teal. iPhone 17 with that design with ProMotion and new nice colors and I would upgrade again.

That's is actually a reason to buy the regular "17", if this is true. The phone looks better without that stupid-looking horizontal bar.

Gonna be interesting to see how Apple separates this iPhone 17 lineup from each other since all phones will have 120hz screens. Price is not really a issue if you are financing the phone. If the iPhone 17 Air is feather 🪶 lite then consumers will love that it’s not heavy on there hands like a Pro Max.

This means the standard iPhone 17 would be the most unchanged new model launching this year, in terms of appearances.
The iPads, HomePod mini and AirTags will likely be hot contenders.

I think it's fine as long as it has 120hz, AOD, 6.3 inches and an anti reflective display.

Mini suffered from the wrong marketing name (made the phone sound tiny) and less than super battery life, though this was improved noticeably with the 13 mini, but much of the damage had been done. Bring back the mini, making it 5.6" instead or 5.4", give it modern battery chemistry and drop the "mini" name. The standard iPhone in several sizes, 5.6" being one.

More Prosser? That’s like 4 posts today with him as the “source”. Dude is unreliable historically.

Why the sudden shift to ProsserRumors?
Q1 is usually a low supply scenario for tech news. And Prosser is good for going all out on a rumor and making it seem almost as legit as an actual product announcement.

Hate the guy all you want, but those renders and fake ads he does are a lot of work. It’s all very convincing even if it’s really not a lot more than a visualization of recent rumors.

And I have to assume that all of (Apple) tech news adores him for doing them since this type of content (indirectly) warrants many additional posts about the products im question.

Kinda crazy how big businesses rumors and leaks are even if they rarely are any more than that and very often mislead us partially or completely.
