Apple 🍎 still has a contract with Qualcomm up until late 2027, so I can still see them using Qualcomm modems until then.Apple will just have to use Qualcomm if the C2 isn’t ready.
Guarantee??? Is there such a thing for rumors? Ever?Since this information was sourced from Apple's internal code, there is no guarantee these are the finalized specs.
I’m surprised their even having a 17e so soon. Usually it’s 3 year updates with the SE LineupI mean the MagSafe ring on the back that's been on every phone since the 12 except for the 16e. I would probably get that model for my kids, but with no MagSafe it's a no go.
The 17e should have MagSafe.
I've been having wifi issues on my Air. The range seems worse than my previous 13Pro, and it sometimes doesn't work even when in-range and the Wifi icon appears on the screen. I hope it can be resolved in a software update, because I love the phone otherwise.N1 chip has wifi disconnection issues. Also it's skipping the full 320MHz WI-FI 7 channel width.
I can see Apple maybe doing this as mmWave is not really big thing in Europe or other countries.Maybe C2 adds mmWave support but no speed advantage versus the C1X in sub-6 Ghz spectrum? In that case the C2 may only ship in the 18 Pro series in markets with mmWave support while other markets will get the C1X.
Have you updated to iOS 26.2 and Manuel restart your phone?I've been having wifi issues on my Air. I had previously reset network connections a couple times, but not since updating to 26.2, I'll try doing it again now. Also I misspoke in my original post (now edited). My previous phone was a 13 Pro, not 17 Pro.Have you updated to iOS 26.2 and Manuel restart your phone?
Turn off your phone for 3 minutes and then turn it back on. Should get it working right for you.I had previously reset network connections a couple times, but not since updating to 26.2, I'll try doing it again now. It’s widely used in the US by Verizon, and then AT&T and T-Mobile use it at airports, stadiums, and arenas.mmWave is on it’s way out. A failed technology and almost no one in the world uses it.
Speaking as a US user, cellular service in areas where Qualcomm modems would drop dead in spots all over my coverage area across the country outweighs having mmWave service in the few small footprint areas where I’m also very likely to have fast WiFi internet or fast enough non-mmWave service. For US users, mmWave remains the real differentiator worth evaluating.
I am pretty sure it should say "Kernel Debug Kit". They typically contain more information in the binaries so that when you debug, it is possible to make sense of what is going on. I don't know exactly what they have found, but lots of code is shared in both macOS and iOS, which could provide hints. Many configuration files like plist. But there are also connectivity frameworks and other code that could interact with devices and probably by adding 2+2 you get a good idea about what is in the devices. As they say it was a version that was not supposed to be released to developers, it likely contained some future data not supposed to come out yet.Can someone with more knowledge than me explain why details of iPhone software/hardware is in a Kernal Debut Kit for macOS?
Yes indeed.I like the elegant single camera look of 16e. I would definitely buy one if it was smaller (mini sized).
Not Happening, Not enough of you wishing these small devices.I concur.
As much as I enjoy my basic 16e, I would greatly prefer a 17e Mini.
Hello Apple?
We want an iPhone 17e Mini.
I also concur.
Still using the 13 mini. I don’t want to give it up. They makes new one I’d be tempted too very soon.
Same here but not optimistic. Maybe Apple surveyed the shareholders and got a thumbs-down? Wildly speculating here, I admit.I concur.

How many would be enough, I wonder? 😊Not Happening, Not enough of you wishing these small devices.
Yes, hoping too. I am one of the 50…0…0…0…0… minimalistas 😊. Seems odd that the iPad comes in small, medium, and large but the iPhone not anymore.Yep! We are out here hoping!
