Between more efficient modems, more efficient chipsets, and the advance of battery technology (silicon carbon?), a new Mini could really shine!

Which is why they won't touch the idea with a 10ft pole.

Same here. I wanted to get iphone 17, but they are always sold out in US. Need to order weeks before picking it up. So I just got mint condition 13 mini and replaced new battery. Fantastic device coming from Xs/11 Pro. Only hard to find some good leather cases.

That’s strange. Stock is everywhere here I Australia of the 17.

I honestly don't know, I'm also not trying to belittle anyone for what they like, but unfortunately, it is like with the debate between SUV's and sedans, they are a lot of people that like smaller vehicles, but car companies make more profit from the BIG SUV/F150 than from a smaller "Hot Hatch" or sedans / smaller vehicles.

Same here but not optimistic. Maybe Apple surveyed the shareholders and got a thumbs-down? Wildly speculating here, I admit.

Apple has all the money and other resources to easily develop and sell a new iPhone Mini.

Even if sales are not blockbuster strong, simply providing the choice for those who prefer a small phone would bode well for the company’s reputation and customer satisfaction.

Yet this is the same arrogant company that believes they know what’s best under all circumstances. Yes they’re wildly successful but there’s more money on the table.
