iPhone 18 Pro Launching Later This Year With These 12 New Features

Good to see yearly improvements to the camera. Overall compared to the 17 Pro Max, it will be a minor update. Waiting to see how the dynamic island will change due to the new punch hole cut out.

I would say that the headline for this article - "iPhone 18 Pro Launching Later This Year With These 12 New Features" - is somewhat misleading when the very first of the 12 "new features" listed is that the Pros are going to have the same overall design as the previous year's models.

Three words: Do not care! I'm all Apple'd out. os26 (all products), Tim Apple's insistence on lingering on, and squeezing EVERY last penny out of people. Plus, the lack of anything ground breaking has broken me.

Not for anything, there are alternatives. Not sure what is considered “ground breaking” as opposed to innovated, improved etc.

If your claim is that apple is all about symmetry then the non-centered rear camera disagrees with you. Also SJ was incorrect; I was holding it correctly so I returned the 4 and got the 4S which didn't require me to hold the phone weirdly just to avoid a hardware problem.

I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but I’m not loving the asymmetry of the left side hole punch camera. I’d prefer to just keep the island.

Just upgraded from iphone 12 pro to 17pro max in december (just in case i change my mind with the long return period) and the main difference is the battery life doesn't fully suck... can still kill the battery by the end of the day if using it even more than usual but otherwise i can leave the house with 50% and not be worried its going to die in an hour.. (the 12 pro had ok battery at the start but after 5 years was abysmal to say the least). Bigger screen / better cameras all nice but at the end of the day same iOS .. same apps... so yeah if you don't need better cameras / battery life not much is new
