This is very much an ‘S year’, it’s definitely worth to wait until next year for the 20th anniversary mode

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe I should hold on another year and jump from the 16 Pro to whatever they’ll name the Pro version of the 20th.

Should bring along the usual speed improvements with the new chip. Will be nice if it comes in red. Hopefully it won’t be too dark. Having a fun and bright color on the Pro lineup is great.

Don't see them making a titanium color phone out of aluminum. But if you want bold, cars are a good way to go. Mini British Racing Green, Honda Boost Blue, Mazda Soul Red, etc. I would buy those. But they have to get the finish right. Anodized aluminum won't look like a nice metallic paint job.
Yeah the switch to anodized aluminium adds new challenges to making a real slick finish but Apple should have worked that out before switching. Like you said ... they have to get the finish right and they didn't. The anodized aluminum seems to suck the vividness and life out of the finish. To me, it degrades what is supposed to be Apple's signature premium modal. It should be premium on the inside AND outside.

Please refer to certain premium chess sets on what burgundy should be really like... it's not dark red or maroon.

I'm surprised rose gold is no longer a color for Apple Watch, iPhone, AirPod and MacBook. I still remember the hype when it was released on an iPhone (6S) many years ago. It seems like a good choice now if you're abandoning titanium and doubling down on aluminium. Let it be the 'hero' color across product lineups.

Why is having the same overall size considered a feature?
Because either is NOT thicker/heavier which a lot of people don’t want? Or smaller because while some people definitely want a new mini most people appear to want “more screen”. Also in contrast to the MAX phone which they listed as being “maybe thicker for more battery” which seems very odd given the they have the 2nm process and other things reducing power usage from the CPU, the next cell and networking chips reducing power from the wireless, and the LTPO listed as reducing power from the screen, so everything points to “sips power” aka “more battery life with the same battery”, and the MAX hasn’t been panned for having a short battery life, so why would they bulk it up when it is already a long battery by almost anyone’s standards (39 hours of video playback on a charge? If the effect of those improvements net them 10% more they are 42.9 hours, nearly two full days of playback).

Seems unlikely all those things are true!

Still waiting for Siri to work. It still can’t do what it showed Samuel Jackson doing in the introductory commercial years ago.
