That's big actually almost like type 1-inch camera sensor really hope Apple introduced RGB sensor or something maybe we get LOFIC this year earlier.
It's interesting how Apple refuses to adopt innovative and advanced technologies like other smartphone makers.
However being masters of the narrative, they convince their followers that those features they ignore, are inferior, unproven or problematic at some level.
Experiencing great success managing the narrative, the company continues profit taking with premium prices for existing and in some cases older technology.

Talking about innovation, Tim Cook deserves immense credit for what he accomplished at Apple. Under his leadership, Apple expanded far beyond the iPhone with services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Pay, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+, creating recurring revenue streams that helped turn Apple into a multi-trillion-dollar company. He also oversaw successful products like the Apple Watch, AirPods, and the transition to Apple Silicon.
However, it's also fair to say that Apple's most transformative innovations largely came during the Steve Jobs era. Cook excelled at execution, scaling, and monetizing the ecosystem, but Apple has arguably lacked the kind of category-defining breakthroughs that once made the company synonymous with innovation.
Tim Cook's legacy will likely be remembered as one of exceptional business leadership and value creation. That said, I hope Apple's next CEO can combine that operational excellence with a renewed focus on bold, groundbreaking innovation—the kind that doesn't just improve existing products, but creates entirely new markets and experiences.

I hate mine simply because it weighs so much. It always pulls my pants or shorts down, I have to make pocket accommodations for it, and it just feels like it's in my way. I can't wait to try an Air 2.

One can’t vote with their wallet when there are no options to purchase that they would prefer.
Data on this is tremendously skewed based on simply what’s available.

Agreed. If Apple made a phone that was Pro equivalent in every feature except size and battery, then we'd have a better idea about how the market would vote. There may be a lot of unacknowledged large phone fatigue in the market, and especially for Apple fans, there are no alternatives. And I wouldn't want Apple to come out with another half-assed/three-quarters-assed effort. If a new Mini ever makes a debut, I want all the camera goodness, all the RAM, fast data USB-C, etc etc in the smaller form factor. I think a lot of people would jump on that. At least as many as jumped on the Air with its single camera/single speaker.

I find it impossible to believe that Apple couldn't making something compelling in the Mini form factor and just keep it on a 3-4 year cycle.
They are clearly choosing not to (in my view).
It's really frustrating.

Yeah that's the other point that blows me away. The mini could be an every other year or even every three year refreshed device and still be a very profitable product for Apple and make smaller phone fans happy.
