Wouldn't it be cool if the Dynamic Island pill turned into a tiny apple shaped sensor zone instead of opting for a hole punch? Actually, the hole punch with its tiny dot SCREAMS out at you when you look at it. A blip on an almost perfect screen. You may tend to focus on it even more compared to Apple's recent offerings. If we can't have an apple shaped Dynamic Island sensor, better to wait it out and just jump direct to a full screen with sensors completely under the hood.

So Apple is admitting the Notch was a bad decision and copying the Android mobiles. Now they have to come up with lot of spin why they are doing it now instead earlier! We will wait for their marketing teams efforts int he SM influencers club.

I've always personally viewed the Dynamic Island as a, "Well, what the heck else could we do with it?" feature. It's fine, the notch doesn't bother me, and I've long-since given up the chasing-the-next-upgrade hype - it felt like it mattered more in the earlier iPhone models and the Intel era of Macs. At some point, the phone performs the basic functions of calls/texts/Internet sufficiently enough.

Ew! I can’t see Apple doing that. If they did a camera hole, it would probably be centered, with the dynamic island around it when in use.

I don't think you're in the minority here. There is simply a very vocal minority on MR who don't like X, Y, Z feature or X, Y, Z person working at Apple. Some of this minority are also the individuals who regularly down-vote or angry vote commenters who are supportive of Apple.

The drip drip drip of very incremental improvements/changes is tiresome. It feels like iPhones and IOS are falling behind the Android mob. Countless improvements over the years, only to find these features have been on other phones and platforms for years.

I'm getting tired of it all.

😂 iPhones looking more and more like Android phones. First was larger screen iPhones. Next up is the Google Pixel camera bar. After that comes the pin hole front camera in the upper left corner.

Dude, there's no "pixel camera bar" in the final leaked design. You might be part of the TikTok generation and that's probably why you don't know that phones like the Nokia N8 already had a camera bar way before any "Modern" smartphone.
