iPhone 18 Pro: Pre-Orders and Release Date Announced

Apple today announced that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available to pre-order starting Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time / 8 a.m. Eastern Time. The devices will then be released on Friday, September 18.

The initial launch countries include the U.S., Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the U.K., Vietnam, and others.

The devices will be available in 20 other countries starting Friday, September 25.

The key dates:
  • Pre-Orders: Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time / 8 a.m. Eastern Time
  • Release Date: Friday, September 18
Apple also announced that iOS 27 will be released on Monday, September 14.

Trade values are live and, as expected, they're pretty much all lower than they were before the random value increase that Apple did on trade-ins last month.

On top of that, iPhone prices increased by ~$100 on all the old devices at the same time lolololol.

iPhone Air starts at $1099, iPhone 17 at $899 (with carrier activation), iPhone 17e at $699.
 
Originally I was planning on actually skipping the upgrade this year (because I really need to stop upgrading every year... it's been ridiculous, but so easy with the 1UP program). However, my 256gb Pro Max is constantly out of space, and so I need to go to 512gb. And while it's tempting to just go cheaper and replace my 17 Pro Max 256 with one for 512... I'll probably go to the 18 Pro Max and do the lease (and really not upgrade for 2 years). Probably. That's a lot of moola though, and on the lease program, it means I'll never stop upgrading and just paying off the phone (but hey, what else is new 🤣 although I was intending to start going that way.). #techenvyissues
 
Well, im pleasantly surprised for the prices in Canada, the 18 pro max 512gb is only $150 more than the 17 pro max, usually we get hit harder than the US for price increases, I was expecting worse. So looks like I can finally upgrade from my 14 pro max! Now just have to decide if I want to risk the black and the potential chips in the coating... hmm

I was kind of hoping they'd just leave the 17 at the same price, and increase the 18 by $100. I suppose that's possible when the 18 is released... that the 17 will go back down to its original price.

Can already predict the announcement for the base iPhone 18 & iPhone Air 2 next year will mention that they're available at the "same price as the outgoing models" as a selling point 😅
 
18PM in blue here for me. I’m due for my carrier upgrade with my 16PM and it’s just the activation fee for me if I send the old one back. So it’s a no brainer.

Eight AM is better than 3AM I suppose.

785 for 17 pro seems decent idk
 
This might be it for me and iPhones. Okay the program I have been part of is gone. Logged into the apple upgrade program portal and it said I can upgrade cool. My current 1TB 17 Pro is $73.66 bucks a month with Applecare.

This new program makes zero sense. Picked the iPhone 18 Pro 1TB and monthly for a yearly upgrade is 75 bucks with no AppleCare?

AppleCare is 15 a month or 149 a year but you have to remember to cancel it when you upgrade or too bad?

Why is this worse and more expensive?
