iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Orders: Deadline to 'Get Ready' Early is Tonight

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders begin this Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time.

Apple allows you to prepare for your pre-order early. Simply look for the "Get Ready" button on the Shop iPhone page or in the Apple Store app and proceed to select your iPhone 18 Pro model and any accessories, get pre-approved for financing or leasing if necessary, and so forth.

Apple is giving customers until 9 p.m. Pacific Time today to get their pre-order ready ahead of the morning rush, so act fast if you want a quicker checkout tomorrow.

I have a 14 Pro and I don't think it's worth upgrading, although I am intrigued by the variable aperture camera. I can wait though.

I too am keeping my iPhone 17 Pro Max. A20 Pro chip when I haven't been bothered by my iPhone's performance in many years, some camera upgrades, a smaller Dynamic Island, and up to 15% longer battery life just isn't enough for me to care to upgrade. I've been going 3 years lately: 11 Pro, 14 Pro, 17 Pro Max. However, the rumored 20th-anniversary iPhone might entice me next year.

It would be nice if UK carriers released the damn price plans so we could work out things in advance the day before; they obviously have them ready to go. It's so annoying for them to only show the plans the second the orders go live, so that you have to look at all the plans and make a quick decision while the servers are getting hammered.

I miss upgrading yearly, and the fun of preordering. Now I just upgrade when I need to. Upgraded last year from 13pm to 17pm and it was a much needed upgrade.

What if you’re coming from an iPhone 15 regular? How much better do you think the cameras will be ?

From a standard 15, the difference will be huge. You gain telephoto, 25% better low light performance, much better between zooms with all 48MP sensors with image stabilization. But if you don’t take low light, telephoto or zoom a lot,
maybe not enough for you.

Was originally going for the 18 Pro in black but decided I'm going to hold off and try for the Duo in Night Sky. Seeing if I can use that as a replacement for my old iPad instead of buying a new Mini. I have the iPhone Air now and it sounds like the cameras on the Duo are similar, so I'm not too worried about that. If there's one thing I miss it's the ultra wide camera, which I will gain back on the Duo.
