Impressive! I’m replacing my 12P with the 18P. It has gotten really bad with overheating and dimming a lot during the past few monthsStill happy with my 12 Pro !!

Yeah. It’s a decent saving in the 512.I can’t figure out how to do the “get ready” process if I want to do Apple Card 24 month financing. It only has buy once, carrier financing, or Apple Upgrade options
Yeah, it’s a decent saving on the 512.I wish they's let us "get ready" in the military store!
Well done. It still works fine for most tasks.Still happy with my 12 Pro !!
That's gonna be a nice upgrade for you! (I went from a 13P to a 17P last year and I love this phone. Obvi not upgrading this year.)Impressive! I’m replacing my 12P with the 18P. It has gotten really bad with overheating and dimming a lot during the past few months
I too have an Air, but I am thinking of the Duo as a plus one. I am on T-Mobile and want to see how the companion SIM thing works. Was originally going for the 18 Pro in black but decided I'm going to hold off and try for the Duo in Night Sky. Seeing if I can use that as a replacement for my old iPad instead of buying a new Mini. I have the iPhone Air now and it sounds like the cameras on the Duo are similar, so I'm not too worried about that. If there's one thing I miss it's the ultra wide camera, which I will gain back on the Duo.
Thanks. I was really hoping they upgraded the 18 Pro with the stacked Samsung sensor and increased the size similar to that on the Oppo ultra. I can’t believe it’s the same sensor as last year. From a standard 15, the difference will be huge. You gain telephoto, 25% better low light performance, much better between zooms with all 48MP sensors with image stabilization. But if you don’t take low light, telephoto or zoom a lot,
maybe not enough for you.
EIP?I’m purchasing through T-Mobile on EIP and have the Get Ready option.
It will be noticeably better. I record a lot of video with my iPhone 16 Pro and I can definitely notice how much better it was than the 15 Pro. So this 18 Pro with an improved sensor and low-light performance would be worthy of an upgrade if you place high value on the cameras. What if you’re coming from an iPhone 15 regular? How much better do you think the cameras will be ?
I have the Pro Max and I can tell you that since iOS 26 when you use battery saver mode, it tends to lag. Even with iOS 27 RC on regular mode there are still some issues where it tends to lag if you're using something simple like Safari and Amazon Music though it depends also on the website. They kind of fixed it with beta five, but now it's worse. At least for right now, the battery overheating is less than what it was before. Im just ready for 12 gbs of ram or higher so they apps dont restart like they do after a while.I am wondering if 1 more year with the 11Pro would be acceptable or if now is the time to upgrade (to the 18Pro)? All of these "guesses" as to the 20th anniversary iPhone - but they are just guesses and we know what the 18Pro has.
18 Pros will be in Apple Stores on Friday 9/18 (launch day.) Duos on 10/23.From experience, does anyone know when they start having the new models, including the duo in the store to test out? Is it typically now in the next few days or is it after they do the pre-order?
Equipment Installment Plan. A 2-year Contract, but for the hardware and not the service.EIP?
I don't miss much about living back east, but being able to get up at a normal time, have my coffee, and casually open up the Apple store right on time was nice. This year I am out west and need to get up by 4:40 to be prepped for 5:00am. Ooof.
You may be right. Historically, you would certainly be right for most people. But let's see what kind of AI-focused on-device performance becomes available with the A20/M6 + current OSes + Siri AI+. Given how much so many people (or their employers) are paying for frontier LLM services--particularly given how few queries actually need to go to such services--let's see if a more rapid hardware update becomes a wise financial decision for these tens of millions of people. If you have a iPhone 17 Pro, it’s not even worth upgrading.
You’re missing out big time.I have a 14 Pro and I don't think it's worth upgrading, although I am intrigued by the variable aperture camera. I can wait though.
