iPhone 18 Pro Will Reportedly Start With 256GB of Storage

Maybe I’m wrong for this idea but: iPhone Pro = 256GB and 1TB models and iPhone Pro Max 512GB and 2TB models. I think most users (but not all including me lol) that want more than 256GB’s are probably happy paying for the max size. That or just do 512GB and 2TB only for both models. I kinda feel like 512GB for a pro phone is a reasonable entry point but I suppose it is Apple.

I could see Apple doing this. While I personally don't need more storage, their AI is eating up more and more of it. I've lost 69GB of my 256GB 17 Pro Max to iOS 27 DB5. That's coming up on 30% before I even install any apps!

I just think for a pro product you should be offering substantial storage regardless of actual need. I got 512GB for my 17PM for more headroom for my photos as my 256GB 14PM had 50-75gb’s free.

I dump them all on my Proton Drive anyway but so far I haven't had to clear them from my phone and still have 90GB free.

I hope that the normal size 18 pro will get the 2TB option as I know people who absolutely need it and yet very much dislike the pro max form factor. It will basically be a year of me hearing about how much they hate the larger phone if this doesn’t happen
