iPhone 2.1 Reactions and Additional Features

Push can wait.

Push is exciting in all but I'm still waiting for Apple to create an update for the Camera and change it to something like Photobooth and add effects and video recording and Text to something like iChat so it will work with cell phone numbers and IM services (mms included). If they could just roll out those two updates in would be a major step in the right direction for markets such as Japan where they aren't selling as many units as they might have expected. Also working with U-Verse in America and other services tv streaming services would be a great addition as well. I saw many Japanese people watching nightly news, game shows, or a sporting event on the subways going home from work when I visited last time and the iPhone has a "gorgeous 3.5" screen" to watch them on.

2.1 upgrade voicemail quality issues

I wonder if anyone else has noticed that after the 2.1 software update, the sound quality of voicemails seems a bit worse? Not complaining, just wondering if anyone else has noticed anything like this.

I've noticed exactly the same thing. It is clearly due to the 2.1 upgrade. I've also noticed that after the upgrade, when I check my visual voicemail it triggers a call (not visible during phone use) to AT&T voicemail. I realized this after I checked the call log in my online AT&T account. My understanding is that voicemails are essentially data files...therefore, it shouldn't be dialing into any voicemailbox, like traditional cell phones. Very odd.
