Hi there,

I upgraded to 3.0 successfully and activated.

For some reason, the iPhone has gone into pre-activation mode and iTunes said my 3.0 has "expired".

Any idea why?

Well no because I just turned it on this morning (not connected to the computer) and it said that...

and it seems the phone is activated...but...an iTunes pop up says

"Your iPhone is using an expired version"

and then on the iTunes page it says

"You are using the latest version"

Here is this popup...

You have to get beta 2 from your dev portal. Your beta 1 expired. And people doubted me when I said they'd have an expiration date 😛

Mine too. I'm pretty sure Beta 2 expired since they Apple just enabled Push notification. Wait for the torrent sites I guess. Sucks. I should have left well enough alone...

I'm using beta 2 on both my devices, I don't get that. And push was turned on almost a week ago (the 4th was the date it got turned on), they just got around to sending out the email. Beta 2 is not expired.

My non registered iPod touch 2G with 3.0 Beta 1 has expired. It gives me the connect to iTunes screen. Then when I connect it to my computer, the pc gives me an error.

Are they registered

If they are registered and the UUID are corrected loaded to the portal and you can not get it to work, submit a support ticket. I am assuming that you are all developers

Even if the UDID is submitted to the dev portal, the ipod touch/iphone must have the newer version of 3.0 installed. Pretty sure the betas get the plug pulled on the old versions.

Question:

I am a tester for a developer, and my UDID is registered through his account. Does that mean he has to send me the link for the new Beta 3 when it comes out, or is there somewhere that I can download it myself?

All 3.0 beta 1 has expired. If you are not a developer and you put 3.0 on your iPhone through a developer or paid for it through a developer...you must contact that developer that gave you beta 1 and have them send you beta 2. You all should have done this last week as each beta will expire after a new one is released.

Now we find out how many will have to downgrade cause that new developer got his SDK paid for and could care less about downloading and sending out any updates.

Good Luck

They should not be sending anything. You are not allow to send the file around, anyone that needs the file should log into the portal and download directly. If you are a tester and they did not give you the chance to get the update I would question them

All of my testers have access to the portal to download the updates.
