OP, you are a liar...that is all
How am i a liar as ct2k7 said i must've just have a dodgy build
I downloaded it because i had 3.1 beta 2 and then it came out so i downgraded to it using terminal commands so it could be summet to do with that
Can you post the download link please? Your browser history should have it, as you know.
How did you downgrade using terminal commands?
I'll look but browser automatically deletes history and i download this terminal file to desktop and i restore to the 3.0.1 ipsw and then it gets 1015 error then you open up terminal type in (cd desktop) then hit enter, and then (./iRecovery -s) hit enter and then loads of stuff comes up and you type (fsboot) and hit enter![]()
Just thought i have 3g the ipsw won't work with your iphonesoz
Yeah here's the tutorial
http://rumahabi.com/downgrade-iphone-3gs-3-1-to-3-0-os-firmware.html
But i don't have the IPSW i think i downloaded it from
snip
and typed iphone 3g 3.0.1
that downgrade works with any firmware good if you need to downgrade
Why oh why... Apple provides downloadable IPSWs for a reason -.-
The build you may have downloaded may have been tampered with, and potentially, stuff added to it, e.g keylogger.
I suggest that you click restore in iTunes, so that you get one from Apple, a clean, unmodified, official one.
This is not just firmware, this is Apple's endorsed, official firmware.
i might restore and see if it is still there![]()
Wtf It's Still There
You restored in 7 minutes?
Really, I have only restored once and forgot how long it took.
If he took a screenshot of the "USAGE" screen and there's no option to turn off the battery icon (this icon is on the 3GS Usage menu screen), then that means he's not using a 3GS, so that first picture he has is legit.

Ok today I was messing around in settings on my iphone to see battery life stuff and I noticed that there was a battery percentage toggle which I thought was only on the 3GS but hey, you might as well check your iphone 3g or 2g under settings>general>usage or summet like that and see if it is there.
The weird thing is that it's not under settings any more but i have the thing at the top.....
Ill post pics
Am I incorrect, or did he say he had it in the usage screen?
Wherever it is, he did NOT show a screencap of the toggle switch. If he had one, he would have shown it.
Also, his iPod touch is Jailbroken, why should we believe him when he says his iPhone is not?

I jailbroke my dad's ipod touch and i had the toggle switch, toggled it, iphone froze and rebooted it were gone stuck with percentage.
Why would i fake this just for a thread??
And along with the other screencaps you took, you didn't think to take one of the actual toggle switch?
The same reason anyone else posts a fake thread, attention.
When i get home on friday or saturday i will make a vid will you believe me then?
Why?!
No, not really. But go ahead and do that if you want to.
