I understand that it COULD go beserk but if no-one knows about it what are the chances?

I've come to the conclusion that you are being deliberately thick just to wind us up.

How can you say that nobody knows about it when the item has been viewed 781 times and this thread has been viewed 1,692 times?

Why don't we just meet up again here in six days and five hours when the auction ends, and we'll see who is right?

I really can't be bothered with this nonsense anymore.

if no-one knows about it, no-one can buy it...

I know they don't know about it because no-one has bidded on it, I will bid £300.01 on the last 30 seconds.

That's why the price will jump past £300 at the end. The one(s) looking at the iPhone are watching it like a hawk. Within the last day, the phone will shoot up.

People have the art of bidding down to a science.

Oh I understand, so your saying people wont bid now and will bid last minute?

I'll see if I can get another £50-£100 so I can bid £400 last minute.

Thanks mate.

The amount of people who tell me they got a bargain on ebay so I doubt they are all lying, you must understand my logic..

I've been watching it since it went up and no-one has bidded on it and something i'm 100% sure on is that iphones in general will be dramatically dropping in price when 4g/hd is out (which is soon)

Sorry to the guys who I frustrated but i'm new to ebay and still learning the ropes.

When I had to turn my 3G back in to AT&T, I went searching for a 3GS on eBay. I came accross a 3GS with an Otterbox, car charger, screen protector and a year left on his Apple Protection Care warranty. I watched the auction stay at it's starting price - $100 - and I planned on bidding $100.01 at the very end. Unfortunately though, I forgot to bid, and it ended with no one biding on it.

Then, he relisted it and it sold for $480.

Seriously I hope you are joking because i've been saying that through out the whole thread and everyone was telling me that I have no chance getting it for 300.. It's even got to the point where people are calling me thick/stupid

But thanks for your help man, you've been great and i'm going to do what you told me to and bid last minute @ £400

Thanks again

Well, it is a rarity for items like this to end that low, but if you do get it, consider yourself blessed.

And no, I wasn't kidding. It actually happened.

Well hopefully I will be giving you the good news in 6 days and 4 hours. thanks again to TheAppleGeek as he actually helped me.

That's what everyone has been telling you throughout this whole thread. I can't see how it first occurred to you now...

You might be lucky enough to get it at £300,01, but that's not very likely. Don't you think that out of those 600+ viewers there are some that think exactly like you? They'll do exactly the same and if you'll wind up winning it, it might be around £400+.

Hope you'll get it though, but have that £100+ more on your paypal (or whatever you pay with) just to be sure.

I would of thought ALL the 851 views are from this forum.

I have just found out from here that because its a 10 day listing it will be on the 44th/last pages meaning I have a good chance of me only knowing it and winning it.

no, just no.

towards the end of the auction, the iPhone will be on the first few pages, and then the first page in the last few hours of the auction, where yes you guessed it, more people will see it.

HOW HARD IS THIS TO UNDERSTAND.

Oh I see, I just contacted the seller ofthis auction and he said alot of people are interested but hes obviously bluffing to get me to bid higher as im winning.

Please read this:
Nobody bids on Ebay until the last hour.
There is no point, if they bid early SOMEONE will outbid them so people wait.
People are interested and I bet this phone has at least 50 watchers.
If the person doesnt get what they want for it, they will say it was stolen or they listed it wrong and relist it.
Your not going to scam some1 on eBay who made an auction.

I wish the mods would just close this damned thread its a waste of time.

Once someone wins it the seller HAS to sell it or its against the rules and will result in bad feedback.

I would be very surprised if that were the whole story. I'd be more inclined to believe that he ended the auction early and sold it offline, or he did have bidders but they were zero or negative feedbackers and he canceled their bids. Unless he had zero feedback himself, someone would have bid. Also, the relisted auction may not have been for the same exact phone...maybe he had two and reused the photos.

Whats the most should I pay for it? theres 9 days left

Personally. I'd pay no more than £350.

Why?

I'm guessing that the new one will be on PAYG at the £450 mark. If that's true may as well just chuck extra £100 and get the new model.

Thanks for the advice, Much appreciated and yeah you're right I'm only going to bid £300-£350 MAX.
