iPhone 3GS 4.3.5 No Sim

I have an iPhone 3GS which is updated to the 4.3.5 iOS.

Although this is an iPhone I have only used it to download apps and use it as WiFi. I did not have a SIM card inside of it before and it did work fine. My friend who previously used the iPhone gave me it with no SIM and it was jail broken.

After I reset the iPhone though the settings on the phone it tells me
"No SIM card installed. Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate iPhone.

I do not have a SIM card.

What can I do to activate the phone to just use it for WiFi and download apps (basically using the iPhone as an iPod Touch)


I am using a Windows OS.

I believe you Redsn0w has been updated for the new firmware. Just jailbreak to hacktivate it

i'm not sure this would do you any good if you don't have your SHSH backed up for 4.3.4.

try downloading the firmware off Felixburns
