yup its in black off screen... And itunes tells its discovered a iphone in recovery mode so its DFU rite ? I dont get the connect to itunes...

Iphone 3GS stuck at Apple Logo screen !!

follow this guide.......dont listen to the other post........this guide is signed by the dev team it puts you on 3.1.3 but saves your baseband at 05.11.07......
If you have jailbroken on 3.1.2 you SHSH blobs should be saved with saurik so follow this guide http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/2009/09/15/downgrade-iphone-31-to-30/ its the same for 3.1.2 as 3.1.
you have 2 choices/............following the guide in the link or wait until the unlock for 3.1.3 gets released
dude what ever happens do not do a restore to 3.1.3. I am from india too and I bought an iPhone on Feb 2010... I used to own an iPhone 2G for 3 years and so I thought I would go for the big king 3GS... more like Rs 32k big mistake!!
I should have known when it came turned on and I was thinkin...hmmm strange until a few days later I had to reboot and saw the Connect to iTunes logo. Thats when I started my research and a few days later, it was stuck in this recovery loop that I could not get out off... a friend even tried to help me get out of the loop but it did not work and I was stuck with a DFU loop (black screen) for a few hours. I did not want to see my phone dead with a black screen so I upgraded it to 3.1.3
Just to see some sparks of life! And stuck now with a locked 3.1.3 phone.
Spirit Jailbreak will not work for non-activated phones, and the Error 1600 during custom firmware restore is also because of non-activation phones. Even though I would love to believe its some random USB error, but I have tried in 8 different ports and it does not make a difference.

If you are really really really really really lucky and someone who unlocked your phone backed up your 3.1.2 SHSH blob on Sauriks server then you can try this guide and you never know...it may work.

Well i did the shsh restore to 3.1.2 untouched on a different laptop after editing the host file just to try my luck and guess what ! I'm back in 3.1.2 wonderland !!! Blackra1nd it no weat and Synced back all my data, i lost a lot of pictures... But atlease din't loose $1000 i paid for this. Thanks for all the help people !!! I solemnly swear that i will even install SBSettings again and advice every douche i meet to do the same.@creative4art dude, thanks for the advice.. I guess you'll just have to wait for iPhone 4g release.....

guys - i am in a similar situation too - did a network reset on my 3GS 3.1.2 blackra1ned iphone - and im stuck on the apple logo - reboot!

If you have the old bootrom you can restore with a custom FW, otherwise you'll have to upgrade.
I'm guessing i do - can i just restore using a custom ipsw? - any link guide that i can use?

Ya my shsh blobs for 3.1.2 were backed up on saurik. Ithink even your might, try going for that method, change that host file and restore to the official 3.1.2 firmware, It should work !! Best of luck.

what did work for me though and i've come to an understanding that..

then pick/ download a custom firmware (can google it) or create your own custom firmware (using pwnage) and hit Shift +Restore and itunes will not bother to check on its server to validate - it just goes ahead and restores!
