Hi,
I want to see a remake of iphone 4/4S with better processor, much more ram, and maybe lighter, but with the same design and size.
IMO it's the best iphone i've seen.
What about you ?
No offense, but I don't understand this.I loved everything about the 4s. It looked and felt like a premium device. I'd really like to see an updated version at a sensible price.

Oh, I mean, I get the nostalgia and if that's really all this is then cool. I'd love a PowerBook G5 for Godssake, but that along with a remake of the 4/4s is not ever going to happen. Apple is always "looking forward" and trying to stamp out it's past as if it never happened.
The only reason the 4/4s has survived as long as it has is because the popularity of that model is still lining Apple's coffers.

Don't get me wrong. I give credit where it's due and the 4/4s was a game changer, just like the original iPhone. We're talking about how they were perceived at the time, or at least I am. Nobody would choose to run an i4/4S in 2015 but that doesn't detract from the fact it was a handsome, well made and powerful phone back in the day. The 'wow' factor and enjoyment in use for me was far higher than any iPhone since.
I understand the popularity of the 4/4S, but IMO the 5 series is better designed. I look at the 5 series as what the 4/4S could have been. Let's face it waited too long to go to a "larger" screen.
Just as I look at the 6 series as what the 5/5s should have been.
I personally believe should have bumped the screen size up with the iPhone 4 if not then definitely with the 4s... I'm one to believe they should have scrapped the S series with the 4S and came out with the 5 in 2011 with a larger screen and went from there. Of course they finally went bigger in 2012, but in 2013 that screen wasn't big enough which is where the problem lies with the S series of iPhones. could be on 5.1" screens right now and less bezels. I like my iPhone 6, but it could definitely be more by now had they just stopped the S series...
Just saying... iPhone 4 3.5", iPhone 5 4", iPhone 6 4.3" or 4.7", iPhone 7 would be in 2014 could have been 4.7" or 5.1".... Then iPhone 8 in 2015.... Of course I don't work at and we all know they make boatloads of money by doing this the way they do...
However the S series should have been scrapped by now....
If the iPhone 5 would have had a large screen, the iPhone 6 would have looked like a boring update. I suspect their sales would have been much different as well. Plus, it would have been a pain for developers if the screen size changed very year.I understand the popularity of the 4/4S, but IMO the 5 series is better designed. Lucky they didn't do it that way. Not all of us like large phones. Large is not always equal to better. They should have just offered a full range of phones in 2012/2013 (4,4.7 and 5.5).
The 5 better design thing is better in some ways... The 4 and 4S had more breakable glass, but the 5 feels cheaper.

The "S" series is an unusual strategy that works wonders for Apple's bottom line, but it's a strategy that is very tough to imitate. Whenever a competitor releases a phone that looks even somewhat similar to the previous one, many people react negatively, much more if it looks the same (like the HTC One M9). But I agree, the iPhone would have advanced more in terms of design if the "S" series did not exist.
Oh, I get you! I also think that if the iPhone 5 would have been released in 2011 (which would have made sense because it took 16 months and not the usual 12), then the iPhone from 2013 could have better competed with the larger-displayed phones from that year.I'm not necessarily saying change screen size every year... The main point was that the iPhone should have went larger in 2011 not 2012. If anything the 2012 phone could have stayed 4", but the 2013 phone should have most definitely went larger... However with 's tick tock upgrade cycle that was not possible.
I completely agree that this tick tock stuff works for them... However eventually even customers including myself gets smart... Just as this year idk as of yet that I am upgrading to the
And I agree with you that not everyone wants larger phones. I understand that, but soon unless release an iPhone "mini" or they keep the "C" line the smaller phones will be gone. There is a market for smaller screened smartphones. However if iPhone 6 sales prove anything ... It's that the market for smaller screened smartphones is smaller then people think...
