I had this problem too. I too restored from a previous backup and had slowdown doing certain actions. Going to settings, general, reset and resetting my settings solved a lot of problems with my phone. It won't erase any data but you will have to redo your mail settings etc


*Warning* This will erase wi fi passwords you have saved.



I had the laggy bubbles when sending messages when after a couple days with the phone. I restarted, yes just turned it off then back on, and the problem went away for a bit but eventually comes back.


*I just noticed the bubble lag goes away if you send messages in rapid succession. It seems to only lag on the first message when it slowly collapses to be sent.
 
So I restored my iPhone and set it up as new..
I'm pretty sure it solved all problems.
Works like a charm. Haven't noticed any jerkiness yet.
 
Good to hear. I set mine up as new also, and it's been working like a charm the whole time.

With so many apps storing data in the cloud, and syncing contacts with google, it's not a huge deal to set up the phone as new.
