It shouldn't be hidden. Have you tried clicking "Display SHSHs" button in TinyUmbrella? It should launch explorer showing that location.

It opens up the folder with the SHSH blobs inside. And it says that the file path is as stated above. But if I navigate to it on my own the folder doesn't show up. LOL. weird.

Weird.. sure you're not navigating to the "User" shell that lists (documents, music, pictures, etc)? Actually which version of Windows are you using?

I didn't want to start a new thread. I have my 3GS on 4.0 through pwnage tool. Shouldn't cydia have asked me to save my blobs again? I have them for 3.1.3. Thanks.

not sure about how Cydia asks or if it knows to ask when new OS is out, but using TinyUmbrella is so easy you'd be crazy not to run and double check.

Hi everyone I'm new to the forums but a long Time iPhone user and I must say some of this is a bit confusing... Can someone explain exactly what are the risks of not doing this? I want to jailbreak my phone when they do release it but I've never saved these files, what exactly does it do?

In a nutshell, it'll allow you to restore your current firmware if you ever want/need to. So say you have 4.0, or 4.0.1, and you need to restore, but a new firmware is out, you'd be stuck with being forced to upgrade via iTunes and locked away from ever getting the older (jailbreakable) firmware back. If you have your 4.0 or 4.0.1 SHSH backed up, you can avoid this.
