the 3GS wasn't that different from the previous versions, but iphone 4 is different, so I'm not surprised by the demand. just wish my contract was ending this year.
I am thinking of upgrading early, it's only $200 more.

Duh. The 3GS was a marginal upgrade.

3GS was a garbage upgrade. Hopefully they don't follow the same pattern with next years iPhone.
Im pretty sure that it was a large upgrade maybe aesthetically it didn't change but the insides are what matter...just like what they do to the Macs every year.

The 3G owners who can't run important iOS4 features disagree.
All the iPhone 3G users who were pissed that AT&T wouldn't give them upgrade pricing last year and weren't willing to pay closer to full freight are upgrading now. I think that is causing a lot of the movement.
When will the white iPhone 4 be available????
Why has Apple been completely silent on this????
This is the first time I've bought an iPhone since the last two I had (original, 3G) were hand me downs from gracious relatives or friends. The retina display, 720p video camera and A4 is what did it for me. After using the iPad I can say that that chip screams!
