I have SpringFlash installed, but can someone explain how to assign it to one of the gestures in Activator? When I go to Activator under settings and click one of them it just adds a check mark but it doesn't let me choose an app to assign. When I do it through SBSettings it assigns SBSettings to it.

Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind I figured it out, IDK what was going on before...

Were you able to assign it in activator? When I'm in there I don't see an option for it

I went into settings > Activator > Anywhere > Status Bar > Hold (tap and hold on status bar)

I assigned SpringFlash that i had downloaded from Cydia to this action.
Now no matter what i am doing, all i need to do is hold my finger on the status bar for a few seconds and the light comes on. Then a few seconds again and it goes off.

Nice and simple and very useful

It is useful. I did the same thing except assigned for a short hold with the sleep button. Now I don't even need to have my screen on or even unlock the phone. :)

toggle?

is the only way to turn the LED on to assign a motion with 'activator'?
I'd like to display SBSsetting with a swipe, like I currently do, and just have a ON/OFF toggle for the LED. Is that possible?
So far, when I display SBSsetting and go to more to add another toggle, the springflash toggle does not appear. However, it is installed, and shows up in SETTINGS >> ACTIVATOR.
any clue?

That's what I thought it was when installing this mod. But, I'm sure someone will release something where you can activate it via sbsettings.

If you set it for "Hold Sleep Button" under "LockScreen", then you can hold the sleep button while the phone is sleeping to turn on/off the flashlight without waking up the phone. Tap it to wake up, hold it to turn on LED. Really useful.

You have to go into settings.

The problem i'm having is that I don't see springflash or any way to activate it under activator. I know I have it installed.

How do I get into Settings? Doesnt the "more" button take me to Setting? Im on the screen with "Set Toggle" "Activation Methods" "SBSettings Themes" etc. Am I not at the correct page?

After you downloaded SpringFlash, go to Settings > Activator > Anywhere > pick what button and action you would like to activate the LED (I picked 'Short Hold' under the Sleep Button > and then click on the icon for SpringFlash.

Restart Springboard and you should be good to go.

You need to go into the regular Settings menu. The one that has the gears on it that just says settings that you saw on the home page the first time you turned the phone on.

Hello! Im so dumb! Ok got it now. Need to go into iphone settings! Duh!

I set springflash like this on mine as well and love it!

Thanks everyone!

I've installed SB Settings along with Activator, however every time I go to install SpringFlash, I get this message:

Anybody know why?

Thanks for posting this, holding down the sleep button is a much more intuitive way of turning this on as a "flashlight" than looking for and then running an appstore app...

Thanks, this worked great! It's a little awkward when you want to turn off your device and the light comes on, but I do that so rarely the functionality is worth it. :D

For anyone interested... I was able to resolve the issue.

I was having a few other issues (i think an old backup of mine that I was going off of for a while, had been corrupted somehow, because a lot of things were acting up).

I did a restore on the phone, and set up as a new phone fresh and just synced my contacts, notes, etc. over again. Jailbroke it again, and voila everything works perfect this time.

I don't think you should have to set up as a new phone, as long as you know one of your backups is solid and problem free, it should be fine to do a restore from backup and then try.
