im having same thing in nj. its weird first day i got th ephone it was amazing and fast. it seem slike maybe they aren't able to with stand all the new iphone customers and the data usage, but thats just my opinion.

Same problem for me too. I'm on the Eastern Shore of MD... Full bars 3G very intermittent data service. Been to the AT&T store four times in five days, did a complete restore, as well as several network restores. Today my wife's 3GS was working fine zipping through things while mine was timing out etc. Both going to the same sites etc. I finally called Apple as the nearest Apple store is about 100 miles from here. They are sending me a replacement phone but after reading about everyone else having a very similar problem it sounds like something Apple's going have to sort through and figure out.

same exact issues. thought i was the only one. i actually returned the phone the other day because data was unusable and i need email for work. i got hit with a 10% restocking fee and was extremely pissed about it. btw im in westchester

Wtf?

I'm getting really annoyed with the data on the i4. 5 bars and no data. Yesterday was great, today is fubar. At&t and Apple have really f'ed this launch up. And just the other day At&t announced that they "upgraded" NYC to 850 Mhz spectrum, which is supposed to improve data. I guess that was joke. I just want something that works most of the time and not on again off again BS. I suggest everyone download the At&t "mark the spot" app and report the crappy service. Hopefully it'll help.
