I'd wait really, gotta be smart about it mate!

It's only a couple of months, I'm sure you can wait it out!

Like you said, you're a student, money doesn't come easily, so I'd just wait for the new one!

I'd say to just get the iPhone 4. The iPhone 5 won't be out for around 3-4 months for a US launch. You're in the UK, which means the launch will be even later. It's normally a month after the US launch, but it could be even longer depending on the demand.

The UK has always gotten the iPhone in the first run as a fellow high volume customer.

Also, just because the phone gets released in 4-5 months, doesn't mean you'll be able to get one right away. Unless you're willing to stand in a line for hours and hours, it's going to be tough to get your hands on one.

Take that into consideration before making your decision.

You're going to be looking at around a 5 month wait. Can you wait that long?

Thanks ... I get what you mean, and your argument does make sense :). I cant remember, but are the UK release dates always after the US?

And no lol I don't think I can wait that long, Im very impatient :p

As I recall the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 releases were the same day as the US for many countries, including the UK. I'm sure I remember Macrumors* et al getting photos and news from New Zealand since they were the first to release.

*since it's technically a 'brand' I'll use their preferred spelling ;-)
