With the delay of the fifth-gen iPhone to September, do you think launch-time buyers of the iPhone 4 will get early upgrades at that time?

My upgrade date is currently listed as Feb 2012 which would put me in no-man's land (6 months after the rumored 5th-gen launch and potentially 6-9 months early for the 6th-gen depending on summer or fall releases in the future).

Thigh chances are that theyre not going to push the upgrades up like they did last year. We know they only did that to lock down current at&t customers for another 2 years ahead of the Verizon iPhone. Don't expect it to happen again this year unfortunately.

You're just going to have to wait, or pay extra, for the 5.

I am upgrading my iPhone in January, and I will get the new iPhone subsidized. Till then I am extremely happy with my white iPhone.

Got my iPhone 4 the day after launch last year and AT&T is saying I'm eligible for upgrade the 26th of this month.

I also got my iPhone 4 on the release date and I am eligible for an upgrade now.... I do pay more than $100 a month... Does anybody know if that is true about the over $100 ?

This is what mine says. I bought my iPhone 4 the day of release:

ANTHONY SMITH, (XXX)-XXX-XXXX
You can take advantage of our no commitment pricing. This line may qualify for an equipment discount on 06/25/2011

iPhone Upgrade
As a valued AT&T customer, you qualify for a discounted iPhone upgrade at two-year commitment pricing plus $250, along with a two-year commitment and an $18 upgrade fee. Please proceed with the online upgrade process for pricing details. You may qualify for a full discount on a standard iPhone upgrade on 06/25/2011

And I pay about $160 per month for two iPhone 4's.

yeah, mine says the same thing but when I drill down to the 32gig Iphone 4 it's $549 like always.

Well as the letter says $299+$250= $549.
Must be the P.C. way for AT&T to say no. HEY I'm A WINNER!! (Taco Bell commercial)

I got two ways I can do this which way would you guys go

1. I bought the iPhone 4 last year in June 2010 from a 3GS early upgrade. I check my elgilbilty and its not until Feb 16 2012. I can get an early upgrade (got of the phone with a rep) but do I have to pay well lets say the phone is $299.99 for the 32GB and do I have to pay $299.99 plus this thing $250 making $549?

2. Option I have a second line and it is due for an upgrade right now. Was thinking of using that to get the new iPhone coming out this year.

So what would you guys do?

Bought launch day iPhone 3G in 08, upgraded in 09 for 200$, upgraded again in 2010 for 200$ and now my upgrade is June 23.

I've always been able to upgrade once a year for 3 years now

how in the world you be able to do that lol

one of my lines is available for upgrade in July, the other 2 are available for upgrade in Feb & March.

We all bought our phones at the same time.

If your bill is over $100 a month, AT&T pushes your next upgrade down to 12 months instead of 18 or 24 months.
well its over $100 we have 3 iphones (2-iphone 4 and 1-iphone 3gs) so shouldn't be able to get an upgrade since its been 12 months now?

If you're on a family plan, only the main line gets a free upgrade every 12 months provided the main line pays over $100 a month.

Option 2. That's what I do so I can pay the subsidized price every year :D

I've also had every iPhone and been able to upgrade each time one was released. I think you're individual line has to be over $100 not your entire bill over $100 for two phones. I thought that was how it was anyway...

Got mine on lauch day but I'm not eligible until Feb 2012, I may pickup an unlocked one this time and not worry about AT&T upgrade cycles.
