No problem on my iPhone 4 - Follow-Up

I posted my previous video showing my unaffected iPhone 4:

Got a lot of "constructive" comments so I re-tested my phone per those comments, and still don't have issues:

If you would like me to test other grips or keys or whatever, comment on the youtube video (not here because it will get lost) and I will try it.

Whether or not there is a design flaw, I definitely think something is up with the way that the software interprets the signal. I just touched 'the spot' on my phone with 4 bars of signal (but still lying in the same position) until it drained to 'searching' but now it won't go back up past one bar. I tried toggling airplane mode and 3G, and it does go back up, but when it was down at 1 bar I still could send and receive SMS

:D

"Look at my hand," said Jobs, holding up a silver, bedazzled-looking glove. "You know what this is? It's the new way to use your phone." The audience burst into cheers as Steve moonwalked across the stage, all the while maintaining what looked like a decent connection.

"This -- this is the isoToner!" Steve proclaimed to a roaring reception at the Moscone Center. "We believe in the future, everyone will wear shiny silver gloves. However, you are the first!"

Priced at $129, the isoToner is somewhat on the pricey side, but show attendees didn't seem to mind. "Steve looked sooo cool up there, with his isoToner. I'm getting one today for me and my... girlfriend!" said one excited attendee.

However, some analysts question the design of the isoToner. "Why is there no thumb? That doesn't make sense. Other gloves have had thumbs for years."

However, Jobs was quick to note that the isoToner doesn't need a place for a thumb. "Who dials with thumbs? Android users, that's who!" said Jobs, to raucous laughter.

The isoToner is expected to go on sale in August. The second generation, which is not compatible with this first generation model, will go on sale next April and, curiously, will contain a spot for your thumb.

Got mine this afternoon. Tried the various ways of holding it from left hand with base of thumb bridging the gap on the lower left, to specifically putting a finder over the gap. I've tried holding the phone normally in both hands, where my thumb, middle, ring and pinky are on the metal frame and my index is on the back for support. Ive been reading this thread since last night so ive seen it all. With all this, I never lost signal except for when the base of my thumb was bridging the gap. And even then it was only down to two bars. Then when I went back to holding the phone the way I always talk on it (just fingers around the metal frame as I described) the signal goes right back up to 5 bars.

Good to see all these outlets are reporting it. It means Apple WILL respond otherwise they will have a 2h1t storm on their hands.

So....taking bets on WHEN Apple will release a statement? I won't hold my breath!

Actually, I wonder if they would be able to hold out for 31 days so we can't return them

There is still hope for you. Just wear this while touching the iphone 4:

The true test will be, however, whether or not it will mitigate this problem:

There is also a direct correlation between people who are unable to channel their brain waves and people who ejaculated in <30 seconds.

Wow... just, wow.

The saddest, and I do mean the saddest - perhaps I should say the most pathetic - thing about all this is that people, instead of immediately demanding refunds for shoddy imperfect non-working defective by design iPhone 4 hardware will take the path of "Well, that's not such a big deal to me, and the pluses outweigh the negatives, it's still the best smartphone there is so I'll keep mine."

Yeah, I was wrong, it's not sad, it's absolutely pathetic.

Now the only thing that remains to be seen is just how fast my prediction about them giving away the bump cases comes true... it's gonna happen, they don't have much recourse now.

There have been so many varying results to these homemade tests, it is boggling my mind.

I even picked up my secondary mobile device (nokia) holding it the exact same way, and witness this same phenomena.

It also only seems to be happening in weak signal areas - not outside or wide in the open.

This is one very friggen confusing situation for sure. Where the hell are all the engineers on here?

So i wanted to see if this can happen with my 3gs.
I took off my case that i have and held it in my left hand and the signal slowly dropped. I placed it on the table and signal went back up.I have tried this over 10 times and its crazy but the signal drops. My connection is still pretty good..

Only changed factors is I am on iOS 4 and took off my case. So i have no idea if this has happened with iOS 3 on my 3gs. but this is crazy if this is happening. and could it be actually the software and not the phones
But I do believe there is a short circuit with iphone 4 but why would my 3gs be affected like that.

I totally agree, sad!
