I concur with the, wait unless you NEED a new phone now.
I just got my VZW ip4 this past week, I was trying to wait until September, but i had to pull the battery 3 times out of my treo before 2pm to reset it on Monday. It was time. I don't regret it, for me the actual quality of the calls are sooo much better I wish I'd done it a month ago. This surprises me because everyone says the iPhone isn't so great as a phone.
But if i hadn't needed to do something because my hardware was at a breaking point (coupled with the unlimited data leaving), I would have waited.
