My iPhone JUST shipped, and in the invoice the serial number says week 34, thats not til next week. could mine be modified?

Week 34 is just the week of the year when the iPhone was made. Nothing else.

Doesn't matter. However, I do recall an article here on MacRumors that states Apple recently made a change on how they serial brand stuff. So you might be reading the numbers wrong. Might.

I bought a week 33 phone and it came with 4.0.2. I was able to downgrade it since I was still able to get 4.0.1 signatures. I don't know if it will still be signed when you get the phone tho.
