The problem with this idea is that if they do a 4.5 it will be admitting that there is in fact a problem worth fixing before the next revision. This would mean our iphone 4's are defective and should be upgraded to the 4.5.

I doubt there will be a revision until next year like normal, but if they do a mid year it is not going to be pretty.

Completely incorrect. You were told by Steve at the press conference what to do.

1- Don't like it-Full refund.
2- Keep it and use a case.

He never denied a modification. He stated " I'm not sure what we are doing with the antenna.".:apple:

This is exactly why there will be no iPhone 4.5. This would cost Apple more money than giving away free cases to all 4 purchasers. Every 4 owner would demand a 4.5.

No, no they wouldn't. The vast majority of iphone 4 users are experiencing no issues and/or don't follow tech news so either wouldn't care or wouldn't even know.

Seriously. I need another one, and was waiting on white one, but not anymore. However if I try to order from Apple it is like 3 weeks and local stores sold out.

This is ridiculous. I which the phone was a big fail like some people here have claimed, maybe I could freaking find another one to buy.

Well with a big international launch coming in less than a week, we can only hope Apple is ramping up capacity or things are going to get worse.

If all 4.5 does in fix the "antenna problem" then I personally won't care at all, but I assure you that plenty of people will be raising a fuss over the issue. I still highly doubt a 4.5 anyway it would be very un apple like.

Anybody know off hand if there are any to be found in atl? I think I'll be going hunting tomorrow afternoon. I'm thinking I should be able to find one in the metro area.

I tried to get an iphone 4 by walking in an ATT store or Apple store and i was assed out. The best way, in my opinion is to just call your local Apple store and tell them you want to be put on the Priority List. They will ask for your first and last name as well as email address and the model of your choice. I got a 32gb and i hear they are shipping out faster, im guessing since many are getting the 16gb model. Now make sure they get that email right because you should get two emails. The first one should get to in a min or 2 mins after you get off the phone with them confirming you are on the list. The next email will be your "pick up" email with info on how to get your phone. best choice hands down. Buying online from Apple is 3 weeks, ATT 2 weeks or more. I was on the list July 5 got the pick up email July 14th! ! ! ! Love my iphone 4 running on 4.0.1 with no signal issues.

The priority list program is over so there is a good chance that Apple won't be shipping stock to their stores anymore (like ATT) leaving online orders or 3rd party stores like Best Buy the only way to go.

What?? Your saying that because they have discontinued the reservation lists that apple will no longer ship to their own retail outlets? Instead they would keep the channel partners stocked but not their own locations????

That is a completely asinine statement. If anything, they would cut off the best buys and AT&T stores and stock their stores solely.

Please explain your theory on this, why that would make sense, and what are you basing that comment on?
