Wow, you guys are so witty... of course if you don't like his music, no one can, right? Pathetic.
Maybe you guys could contribute wallpapers of artists you like instead of trying to insult others.
And what do you listen to? Get an education kid, then come back and contribute like an adult.
I do have to say that Lil Wayne does have a really annoying voice and not much of a talent. When you look into successful bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Guns & Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, etc. Good music

Opinions are not facts, don't treat them as such. I listen to a wide range of music, even some of the bands you listed. That doesn't make your opinion any more valid than anyone else's. For what it's worth, Lil Wayne does have talent. Listen to the Carter II and you will see that. His mixtapes are often way better than his albums, but most people don't hear of his mixtapes, which is why people write him off as a bad rapper. Also, people talk about rap without even understanding what the lyrics mean, and a lot of Waynes lyrics are loading with meaning for those who listen.
Anyway, lets get back to the wallpapers.
While I appreciate your contributions to this forum, my $.02 on Lil'Wayne and the like is that MOST (not all) of them are NOT musicians. They are personalities and great for marketing to a certain crowd. There are good musicians often producing and playing the musical sounds that accompany their "performance", but what most of those guys do would not be considered a musical performance by many standards (although by certain loose definitions any noise can be called music....I don't ascribe to that definition).
A remix does not a musician make.
And he's still ugly.

Fair enough, I don't care if people don't like him or his music, what I don't like is people acting like they have better taste in music and that people who listen to rap are all uneducated and uncultured, especially when these people don't have the balls nor the brains to explain why or give his music a fair chance before coming to a conclusion. I agree that a remix does not make a musician, and in the same line of thought, an opinion does not make a critic. Unless people actually know what they are talking about they should keep it to themselves, because I assure you not all you're thoughts are as golden as they may seem to you (not you Geckotek, posters in general). All I did was post a wallpaper for those who may appreciate it.
PS: sorry if this comes off as a bit aggressive, I'm only trying to explain my side of this.

I can assure you that A) I have more degrees than you can probably count; and B) the fact that you consider Lil' Wayne to be music makes any other commentary you have on the topic of music completely irrelevant.

Everyone has their own opinion, other people might consider your music taste to be awful, though it's YOUR taste, nobody else's.
A) I doubt it. Anyone can lie on the internet, much like you are probably doing now.
B) The fact that you judge my entire musical taste based on one piece of information, while still neglecting to provide any evidence that your taste is any better makes you seem like a child.
C) If you insist on arguing with me here at least throw in some wallpapers to make them worthwhile posts.
I don't think the topic at hand is really taste in music, but the musical talent required to perform in a certain genre. We all know most rappers do not create their own musical content, and half of them probably don't even write the "lyrics" or whatever you like to call them. When you look at most famous rock bands and legendary guitarists, etc. you see true musical talent or the voices of country music and their lyrics.
I'm not taking sides in this argument, just merely stating fact. Heck, even if it was opininion, I love rock and country, and I still listen to quite a bit of hip hop so I feel I can give an un-biased opinion.
Tech N9ne is all I've really been listening to lately because it's more original and doesn't sound like most mainstream garbage you hear on the radio today. Lil Wayne's voice just annoys the crap out of me. I used to really like "Got Money" but now I can't even tolerate his intro to that song.Sorry to steer this off topic again.
