I assume you like this one in particular because of the text in it. Unfortunately I don't have any more with text, just blurred/gradated colours. I could always try add text to them in a similar manner but I can't guarantee it will look good. Give me a quote or something that you like and I'll give it a try.

Here's an idea I played with. First one is for the lockscreen and rest are just different colors choices for your homescreen. Enjoy!

Do you happen to have that pixelated pattern in a larger res (1024x1024) by any chance? I'd love to use it as a backdrop for some logos.

Well excuise me, but I've always used larger images on my iPhone so I can crop them as I see fit using the move and scale feature for walpaper. I don't like the crops you created because you removed most of the image. Just because walpaper is on the screen, it doesnt have to use the whole screen. For example:

So, let others save the larger images and crop them by pinch and zoom. Plus I have no idea what TIMG feature is. Sometimes wallpaper images are horizontal. Pinch and zoom, that IS how I / you can do it!

Try reading the FAQ. Notice a mod had to edit your last post to make your pics have thumbnails instead of posting full size. Please do the same with this post.

ToddH, that is NOT how you do it, not if you want it optimized for retina display anyway. The "TIMG" tag is to thumbnail your massive pictures, it's common courtesy for other members.

I think because most people prefer the wallpaper to fill the screen without leaving black bars on the top and bottom.

That being said, if I find a pic I like that's not properly formatted, I usually do the same thing you do.

I do that too, but it's not the point of the thread. Anyone can find large images on Google, 4walled, Bing, etc, but the point of this thread is that the wallpapers are specifically sized for the iPhone 4, and most members here seem to prefer a full screen wallpaper.
