I would never pay $130 for a used iPhone 4.
I’m using iPhone 4 and it’s slow, the screen is small. I can’t wait for iPhone 6.

I made the jump from the 4 to the 5S a couple weeks ago. I had the 4 for a long time.

It's actually remarkable how little I've changed what I do so far: the 4 could do nearly everything I cared about, sans Siri functionality. It can still be productive.

With that being said, however, the newer phones are light years faster and more fluid to use. It's far more convenient to not wait for your device to catch up to you.

I could go back if I had to, but it would be like trading in a motorcycle for a bicycle. Technically yes, they'll both get you there, but only one will do so in a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks for all the help, I'm not getting it and will probably get an actual iPod. Thanks again for the help

I would never touch a iP4 because the microphone is TERRIBLE and that is the real reason SIRI was never allowed - voice recognition was impossible with such a cheap mic - so if you actually need to be understood when talking to someone you need at least a iP4s, which had a mic system leaps and bounds better and was the first iphone that didn't make you sound like you were being choked underwater to the other party.
That's strange, my family still has two iPhone 4 phones in use since early 2011 (when they became available on Verizon) and the calls still and always sounded just fine on them and through them.

I would use the money to toward an iPod touch. You are paying a premium for phone features that you won't use. Especially if you store videos, 16GB won't go far at all since only about 13.6GB is usable space (the remainder is taken up by the OS.)

I used to surprise people on the other end of the line when I told them their iPhone sounded awful would they please exchange it for a Motorola phone. It was so obvious because 1-4 were worse than the worst for outgoing call quality. It is why I never even considered iPhone until I started hearing people on the 4s, which was acceptable. The 5 was the first phone with excellent outgoing quality and the 5s seems identical. The 5c seems less in quality, more like the 4s so I suspect they cheaped out on either the mic or the processing circuitry - or both. I pray the 6 is at least as good as the 5/5s.

Well, like I said, no one ever mentioned anything to me over almost a couple years that I used one, and I never noticed anything sound any different callings other family members with iPhone 4 phones over almost three years now. I certainly can't say that's the experience that everyone has, but dealing with a couple of iPhone 4 phones for close to three years on both sides of receiving and pacing calls to and from them nothing odd or bad about their call quality has been observed in general and in comparison to all kinds of other phones. So I'm not really sure how inherent and/or widespread the whole microphone issue was or might be.

My mother has recently started saying she has trouble hearing me since I got my 5S. I thought it was the phone but I don't make many calls to really find out. That is, until my mother's doctor told her she needs a hearing aid....

Hey guys, today my friend offered me his old iPhone 4 for 130$. It is in perfect condition, absolutely nothing wrong with it, and is 16gb. Is it worth it?

Well, I would have bought it instead of the lower-end Android that I just bought, because, I like iOS better. At least, I would have bought it if was a factory-unlocked model. If it was an AT&T off-contract -- forget it. Too much trouble.

Probably not unless you want to help friend...

I just saw a IP4 16GB go down for $46 on eBay. However, unless you can get a touchy-feelie, probably not a good idea to buy from eBay. From what I've read, a lot of stolen phones that are locked get sold on eBay.

That said, I've sold previous editions on eBay and all mine were legit and ready to go.
