iPhone 4 Yellow screen

Resurrecting an old post. Just got a replacement phone to replace my defective one today. Fire it up, get it synced, and I just happen to be staring at both screens at the same time when I noticed how yellow the new one is. Wowsers.

Same here, am thinking of making another Genius Bar appointment for next week to swap it. Are these refurb models?

Yes the yellow tints are usually refurbs with AT&T. Ive seen brand new ones from verizon like this though. Seems phones made or fixed in 2011 are coming from different LCD manufacturers. It will be hard to find a white screen. Good luck.

Tried 2 phones at the store and they were both the same. Even went for different manufacturing locations [serial no.s beginning 5K and 87]

Have been asked to try it for 2 weeks to see if it will change [it won't] and bring it back if I am not happy. Covent Garden Genius quite accommodating, even admitting he preferred the blue-ish versions :)
Am starting to wonder if it's older iPhone 4's that are 'cold' and newer ones that are 'warm'

Am not letting this lie, especially as I copped a £65 parking ticket tonight
I don't want a yellow phone. Simple

My girlfriend bought a new iPhone 4 today and the screen is not a yellow tint.

Greetings,

New poster, but thought I'd add to this thread as it sort of pertains to my issue.

I've had my iphone 4 32gb since late October 2010. Haven't had an issue until Sat morning. Phone is babied, all software up to date, never been dropped, wet, etc.

Saturday morning after a short call the screen suddenly went jerky and large, jagged yellow bars appreared horizontally accross the screen. I'm not talking small lines like some photos I've see here, but 1/2 " wide jagged bars. It went away after a while.
They popped up again yesterday and today, now accompanied by blue streaks coming up from the bottom of the screen.
Called tech support, of course said they'd never heard of this <insert eye roll> and they of course want me to wipe the phone clean before calling again.

I can't see this being a software issue but a hardware one.

Anyone else had issues like this? All the photos/descriptions I've seen here and elsewhere don't look like what I'm experiencing. This is much more severe.

if you are close to a apple store make a appt. with the genus bar might even be worth a couple hour drive. if your not ask if you can email pics too customer support. use home and power button to get screen shots.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not anywhere near an Apple store, closest one is 2 provinces over.
I actually tried screenshotting it on Saturday and it doesn't work. All you see is the normal looking screen and not what's happening to the screen.

Since I posted earlier, it's gotten far worse. I tried to use FB for 5 mins on my break, while typing the screen went completely black with small, even white lines running horizontally across it. You couldn't see anything under the black (no regular screen). From there it went black, with a plaid pattern of all the colors on the screen. Even pressing the home button nothing would happen.

I've shut the phone down entirely and restarted and that actually seemed to make things worse.

I'm guessing at this point it's going to be going in the mail...which stinks because I have no other phone (no home phone).

What a letdown :(
