I can swap out the 720p binned for the 1080p regular plist easily through SSH.

If I have the 1080p file, switching back and forth between camera and video is fast.

If I have the 720p file, switching takes .. about 20-30 seconds. Ouch!

Any ideas?

Will This Work On a 4th Gen iPod Touch?

I have been on the fence about jailbreaking my iPod touch, mostly because my iPod was still under warranty until last month. This would be a truley viable reason for me to jailbreak it, for I am a filmmaker, and I have my iPod on my person at all times, and is used on a daily basis as a video camera. If I can get 60fps on 720p video that would be amazing. So will this hack work on an iPod 4G??? i know this thread is a month old but please respond this could be awesome. I don't want to jailbreak it until i know this will work! :D

Hello! I installed the package from colinar's cydia source and it works amazing!!! I am going to film some dual camera 3d with 2 iPhone 4s's in 60fps and post it in YouTube soon. I'll post here in a few days after its uploaded.

And it will not work on the iPod touch.

Hey, good news... the iPhone 4S CAN do 60fps--even without a jailbreak!

Our app, SloPro, just went live this week and it makes slow motion simple.

Here is the link to the App Store. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/slopro/id507232505?mt=8

And here is a video of how to use it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCtCD0TxKzY

Enjoy!

I've tried the app and it works pretty well-- but how can I be convinced that it's really recording 60fps and not just 30fps with interpolation?

Yes I have been using this since launch day, but one question what does the slow motion on off do while recording? Does it actually turn 60fps on and off while making it slow also or is it always 60 fps?

You can export the RAW video to iTunes and, from there, into your video editor of choice. It's pretty obvious it's filming a legit every frame (although my videos usually come out at 59fps).

I've been having a lot of fun with it over the past few days and, so far, it's easily worth the few dollars.

As a follow-up to my own problem. I am re-jailbroken under 5.1.1 iPhone 4s, and using the files here: http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/vastly-enhancing-video-camera-iphone-4s-–-part-i

I no longer get the 20-30 second still/video delay. Also, the 3 files posted appear to work as expected, no changes for 5.1.1. The 720p-Binned file really does improve low-light performance - awesome!!
