My battery went from 100 to 98 over night.

Thats what I see. 0 to 5% drop over night, and thats the same as the iPhone 4. I put the difference down to email and facebook notifications - some nights I get none, others I seem to get heaps.

I posted that after the first 2 nights.
My phone is having serious battery problems now. And I turned EVERYTHING OFF.

I got my 4s yesterday. I set it up and put it on my dock to give it a full charge. It got to 100% although I left it another hour or so. I took it out of the dock, with wifi on (bluetooth off), and went to bed. wake up 9 hours later and it's down to 83%.....is this normal?!!

17% seems like a big drop considering I've literally done nothing with it, and the iphone 4s battery is supposed to be better. My iphone 4 doesn't drop by that much overnight and that always has bluetooth on.

Have I done something wrong in terms of the first time charge? I thought batteries these days didnt need a big first time charge

Three things...

1) Before you go to sleep, plug your iPhone in to charge. Here's the most important part, LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

2) The next day, use your iPhone as you would normally do thru the day. And if you need to charge, charge the darn thing.

3) Repeat 1 & 2

Yes it's that simple.

For even better results, go into settings and turn off Battery Percentage.

And what do you expect him to do if he's not able to charge his phone ?

There seems to be clear issues with battery drain on the 4S, telling people to 'charge' isn't going to help.

Sounds like a Android forum now. Turn everything off and don't use it, this will get you through the day and back home to hook it up to the wall.

All I'm saying is, Obsess Much?

Just use the darn thing and carry around a charger. After a couple of charge cycles, the battery should start to run longer.
