'iPhone 4S' Cases Already Arriving?

While it does seem overwhelmingly likely that there won't be a major update (just a 4s speed bump), made all the more likely by the 3g to 3gs minor tik tok upgrade schedule, I will say one thing. That the last time they did this they were so far ahead that it didn't matter. Now that's no longer true. Competitors have definitely caught up, so resting on their laurels will undoubtedly work for now, but not in the long run. "Pride cometh before a fall..."

It really does. Even the '4S' looks a different shade in the two pictures from the twitter page from chronic wire.
How would the new hardware have volume buttons on the right side if they are introducing the new volume/camera button feature with iOS 5?
This wouldn't make any sense because if you flip the phone sideways to take a shot, the buttons would be on the wrong side.

Chronic is not known to photoshop pics. This is real.
People have shown that even the current Otterbox package shows the buttons on the other side. It's just a strange Otterbox anamoly.

There is no iPhone 4S. There is only iPhone 5. Seriously guys. That the iPhone 5 might use the same form factor as the iPhone 4 does not change the fact that it is the 5th generation iPhone and won't be named something silly like iPhone 4S which makes no sense to begin with.

Didn't it ever occur to you that they *had* to put this statement out? Otterbox got caught with their pants down and are doing major damage control.
Leaking trade secrets, accidental or not, is highly frowned upon by Apple. It may even lead to Otterbox not getting future Apple product dimensions ahead of time. This can result in a loss of millions of dollars if they can't have their case available the minute the iPhone is released.

Agreed, the iPhone 3G to 3GS upgrade was huge. I also probably enjoyed it more because i liked the iPhone 3G's design.
but an iPhone 4 with an A5 processor and 8MP camera to me, is iPhone 4.5
Just pointing out that if the next iPhone is named 4S then the one after is likely to be a iPhone 6 like iPhone 4 was Apple 4th iPhone iPhone 6 will be it's 6th.
You are missing the number between 4 and 6.
There was an iPhone 3GS BEFORE there was an iPhone 4.
Competitors have caught up? Maybe in raw hardware specs... but not the total package.
An iPhone running iOS is a slick device... not matter how many cores and non-optimized software the competitors are using...

If this company made 3,000,000 cases how did they get the size information for iPhone 4S legally? No one knows what the phone looks like and Apple did not release it, so how did they get it?
