True, but 95% of the posters here will be predicting Apple's bankruptcy if thre isn't a new form factor along with tech specs better than the Galaxy S II. Because specs are the only thing that make a good smartphone, right?

'iPhone 4S' Cases Already Arriving?

With Tim Cook's being the new CEO, Apple should have something great to introduce soon. When SJ left some analyst thinks that it's going to greatly affect Apple's stock. But if Tim would be able to introduce something great and new a soon as possible. This makes people forget that SJ left the company and we all know that Tim will not sit pretty in his new desk. He got to have something interesting to prove on his first quarter, that that he deserves his new office and carry Apple with him to another level. The only way to do that is to introduce a new great product it don't matter if Apple is ahead of the game. It's all about making people happy and keep wanting that is something new and interesting. And there's only 2 possible product that catches people interest the iPhone 5 and iPad with retina display. If he would be able to deliver this 2 before the end of the year some people might start thinking that he's a very good CEO and deserve the new office.

/facepalm....thats because the iphone 3GS was the 3rd generation iPhone...so the one after is called the iPhone 4...if there is a 4S this year there will be a IP6 next year
though i highly doubt there will be a 4S, a 4S just doesnt make any sense to me and its not something
would do, even if apple just adds 8 mp and some better specs itll be called an ip5, though only a better specs and a 8mp camera is HIGHLY unlikely, there will be a wow factor just wait till the key note
peasants, i strongly believe this to be the official iPhone 5 case (here). it's legit because it's for sale and it says "5G" in bold red letters in the image.

I really wish Apple wouldn't call the next iPhone as iPhone 4s. It's iOS5, so iPhone 5 makes perfect sense. The 3GS is called 3GS because of the 3G (which is technically just 2nd gen). With the iPhone 4 being simply a 4th gen, coupled with iOS4, it makes more sense to name the next iPhone as iPhone 5 with iOS5. Less confusion down the road.

Well, there are two precedents in Apple's iPhone naming. The iPhone 4 was indeed the 4th generation of the iPhone. However, prior to that, there was no correlation between the model designation and the design generation. Note the minor change in model designation when the form factor remained similar (iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS). So with minimal changes in the form factor, it makes as much sense for an iPhone 4 lookalike to be called the iPhone 4S (the S designation indicating the internal upgrades associated with improved speed, as it did with the 3GS). The model number may, in fact, only change with significant changes in form factor. If this company made 3,000,000 cases how did they get the size information for iPhone 4S legally? No one knows what the phone looks like and Apple did not release it, so how did they get it?

Simple solution, go the iPod style, get rid of the numbers, and just call it the iPhone. It is not a game console. We don't need no stinkin' numbers.

That's the problem with most everyone here, they want a new look for the sake of a new look. Who cares what it looks like ? A dual core processor, much upgraded camera and maybe a bigger screen a long with what is sure to be a few hardware goodies as far as sensors goes all packaged up in an iPhone 4 case makes for an awesome iPhone 5.

This is the only reason why it was called 3GS. They fixed the naming scheme with 4, they aren't going to break it again.
As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather they just call it "iPhone" every year. Then all this rubbish would be behind us and we would never have to argue about it again.

It sounds like the leaks were real enough and the plan was to have both the iphone 4S and iphone 5 unveiled in October but production problems are pushing the iphone 5 into 2012. It will be interesting to see if the iphone 5 will be mentioned in the October event.

iPhone 3GS was the 3rd gen iPhone just like iPhone 4S will be the 5th, so why would they call their 6th iPhone 5 beats me, maybe just marketing..

Good job. I'll admit that I was wrong about being able to tell the PS job.
HOWEVER, I stand behind the fact that Chronic is not known for submitting PS'd pics. For that reason alone I believe these are real. People are always so fast to jump on the PS bandwagon. Too many pessimists.

If Apple gave them the dimensions for their new secrete iPhone and Otter Box gave them to Chinese factories to make their molds and produce 3,000,000 products then how secure is that going to be?
I read that factories in China paid a lot of money to get the correct dimensions from a reliable source. If Otter Box makes an pays for 3,000,000 cases then they have a reliable source for FREE. Steve Jobs would have to be stupid to give this out to Otter Box when he knows it is going to end up in the hands of Chinese companies. I believe that Otter Box got these illegally. I hate it when companies take advantage of Steve Jobs just to make a few bucks.
