Nice find. Thanks!
Has nothing to do with apple's iphone and everything to do with Verizon. I don't think they plan on supporting it on anything but LTE. Sorry.

And APple is not planning on supporting LTE either. So, just go with Android and enjoy your simultaneous voice and data on Verizon.
Apple isn't using a SVDO chip, therefore it cannot do both at the same time on Verizon (or Sprint).
Well, I hope this does fix the bridging problem. I guess we'll see.
Just because they didn't include it on this version doesn't mean they never intend to.
Now that they supposedly fixed the antenna, will they retrofit the new design on the still selling iPhone4's 8GB models?
I do not intend to wait for them to make up their mind when I can enjoy faster data speeds and simultaneous voice connection right now.

Verizon doesn't offer it, so there's no reason for Apple to include a chip that does. That was my point.
HTC Thunderbolt has SVDO. There my be others.
How can they sell an iPhone 4 which they know has bad antenna design, alongside the improved iPhone 4S which rectifies the antenna issues?
So my question is, will these antennas allow CDMA networks to have simultaneous connections for voice and data like AT&T?
Wait, I thought there was no problem with the iPhone 4's antenna. How can Apple fix a problem they claimed didn't exist?
Hey does anyone have any info on the Factory Unlockeds?
There was not a mention today.
Is it just me or is the iPhone 4S and iOS5 taking a lot of cues from Android? The improved notifications, the speech recognition, the improved camera, the improved carrier support, and other areas all seem to be following in somebody else's footsteps this time. Some things are truly new and specific to apple but for me October 2011's presentation seemed to have a lot more to do with following than leading. It didn't really seem like a great time to bring Uncle Tim out either. Or maybe without the RDF everything that was previously amazing just seems so much less impressive?
I get bad signal, even with my bumper case. I live in a poor signal area
Because people like you bought it thereby sending them the message that it is OK to sell shoddy designs.
Does this mean I can not be on the phone and use the internet at the same time on Verizon? If so, I'm going to switch.

4) No Steve Jobs! You are missed Steve. Mr. Cook is great, but we miss your energy. It's just not the same.
If Tim had tried to copy Steve when he is so very clearly not Steve he would have been bashed for it. So instead of Tim Cook doing Steve Jobs doing a presentation, we get Tim being himself. Which is way more low key and lacking in hyperbole and giving the media little to talk about other than the products which are what Apple is and where the focus should be, not on the guy holding the microphone
I thought Tim did great.
I'm never a fan when Schiller takes the stage, he's always too nervous and his words don't always come out right. Tim was very calm, cool, and didn't mess up any words. Schiller forgot about part of the presentation! Schiller's great at marketing etc, but he's no good at keynotes.
Apple is rolling like Intel on a tick-tock strategy; innovate, refine, innovate refine...
This iPhone will still sell like nothing before it.
I do not intend to wait for them to make up their mind when I can enjoy faster data speeds and simultaneous voice connection right now.
So, Apple's announcement today: "After sixteen months, we've worked out the kinks. Enjoy."Oh well, life moves on.
