They were much higher when I saw the FedEx tracking page this morning say "Out for Delivery"...and even higher when I saw "Delivered" at 10:25 am.
Then, they shot through the roof when I went down to receiving and held the box in my hand. Opening the box was fun, too. Screwing up the initial restore from my iP4 iCloud back up, well, that just pissed me off!

Hello OP! congrats on being one of the first to receive the 4S.
Could you elaborate on what you did in screwing up the initial restore? I am planning to restore my backup from my 4 to the 4s.. Will this not work? Is it better to setup the phone as "new" and just sync my apps/music/contacts from itune instead?

Would you mind calling VZW Global Support (1-800-711-8300, select option 4) and asking if they will do a "SIM unlock" for you and then report back?
I called the other day but they said they couldn't help me until I actually had my phone in hand.
I know a ton of people would be grateful if you could do this!

Yeah, it was a stupid mistake on my part.
My wife and I share a computer to sync our iP4s. I usually remember to log her out of her iTunes account, but when I did the full iOS 5.0 update and back up last night through iTunes, I forgot. By the time I noticed, I quickly changed accounts, but the back up was done, and it was already too late. I didn't know it would cause a problem until I was lying in bed shortly thereafter tinkering with the new iOS 5.0 on my iP4, and couldn't update a few of my Apps, as it kept trying to log me in using my wife's Apple ID.
Since I didn't think I'd get the iP4S today, I didn't redo the update and backup this morning before work, and of course the iP4S shows up and I restored my iP4 backup from iCloud.
I'm sure it will be fine if you follow the instructions and sync from YOUR usual location and making sure you're logged in to YOUR iTunes account (if you share computers).
We have 2 PCs (HP Touchsmart All-in-Ones) - one in the kitchen, and one in the office. I've decided to let the wife have the kitchen for her iP4, and I'll do my syncing in the office. Both are on a wireless home network so they pull from the same music libraries - but this will prevent the mistake of inadvertently syncing under her Apple ID and messing up my phone (especially the contacts!).
Hope this helps. I can chime in later tonight when I get home and do a true iTunes start up and restore.
No, there's a SIM card slot on the iP4S, but since the VZW iP4 doesn't have one, there was no swap.
