I recently upgraded my Black iPhone 4 to a White iPhone 4S (my first White iPhone).

It's the best phone I have ever owned and I just love the way it looks and the build quality. My two housemates both have black iPhone 5's and I really don't like the look of them. They don't feel as solid as the 4S.

iOS 7 on this thing is a dream too!

It really is. I used the iPhone 5, and the more I used the iPhone 5 the more I hated it. Sure it was fast and the LTE was amazing, but I absolutely hated picking it up and how cheap it felt. Of course, that's my opinion. I was truly saddened to see Apple abandon such a brilliant design. I only hope the iPhone 5S is redesigned with a larger screen.

iOS 7 on the iPhone 4S is another story. I have not tried beta 4 yet, but they have a lot of optimizing to do for the 4S with iOS 7.

Blurry photos on iPhone 4S

Hi,

I am very disappointed with my iPhone 4S camera. 70-80% of the photos I take come blurry/shaky. I try hard not to move while taking pics, it comes out

blurry. Is anyone else having similar problem with their 4S camera? Please suggest your solution for this. How can i fix this?

I have attached screenshot. Thanks.

The 4s is what it is. It's a 2011 smartphone that still holds its own fairly well in today's market. I'd certainly recommend it over almost any android phone from 2011 except maybe the galaxy nexus but that has its own set of issues. I prefer the design of the 4s to the iPhone 5 and while it does feel chunky, it's in a good way. I think the 4S is the best iPhone apple has put out. It's not the end all be all smartphone and it is starting to show its age. But like I said. It is what it is. Technology progresses.

Agree with all said.

Battery seems to be good given its age. The only time it dies on me is when I forget to plug it in at night.

I'm seriously stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm off contract and enjoy that peace of mind, and my 4S is solid even on this iOS 7 beta as I help out a friend daily test his apps. Yet, I would like a bigger screen and AT&T LTE since it's now in my area and pretty darn fast. Problem is, I really don't want to upgrade and sign a new contract, and I'm just not comfortable moving to T-Mobile in my area (perennially been horrible, not sure their improvements have made it here yet. So that leaves full price, but the 4S is set to lose resale value with the new models coming, which makes the off-contract buy-in bound to be more, and my little graduate student budget won't like that. It's why I most likely will be staying put until I can make a more definitive decision if I'm gonna switch carriers or stay with the Death Star...

wow I agree 4s was a nice phone. But by all means no reason not to jump to 5, if you have the money. The battery life of 4s was epic bad. If you really want to cling to something old, I´d say the iphone 4 is better. The battery is WAY better, and the rest is not way worse compared to the 4s.... And, yes I owned them all, so I know from experience.

My dad still has a 4, and it may have better battery life, but my that thing is slow after you've used a 4S for a while. I'd certainly sacrifice battery life for speed. For me the difference between the 4 and 4S is night and day. And I've used them both.

Beta 4 runs like an absolute dream on my 4S. No lag or crashes (which happened all the time of beta 3). iOS 7 on the iPhone 4 is a different story!

at first i hated the 4/4s design, but i've come to realise what a work of art it is. i still have a 4 and a 4s and they're great.

I like my 4S but I'm with Verizon and their 3G isn't that great in my area. So while I like it I'm looking forward to getting the next iPhone.

I loved my iPhone 4S it was a work of art , but those complaining about how tap the iPhone is or how "cheap" it feels , really cheap ?? I'm confused so lighter makes it cheap and taller makes it difficult to hold, it is still as ergonomic as the 4s and unless you have small hands then the 5 is almost negligible in terms of holding in hand. And I have had multiple people I work with tell me this who are using iPhone 4 and 4s. I'm sorry but both iPhone 5 and 4-4s both feel and look like premium phones and just because one has a little more hefty and the other isn't doesn't make it cheap

Still using a 4S, I love this phone but I can't wait to upgrade to the 5S when it's out. My 4S is slowing down, has a decent battery at best, but oh my the display. Bad colors, and I want a bigger one, which the 5S will provide.

Got the 4S on release, my first iPhone, and have never experienced any kind of problems with it. Neither have I ever had battery issues. I have thought about upgrading when they release the 5S, but I think I might stick with my 4S. Working flawless since day 1 and absolutely love it! :)

Oh yeah..
I would totally upgrade if I had CDMA 3G.

Luckily, I've got HSPA+ on my 4S with speeds from 6 - 10 Mb/s. Good enough for my uses :)

I got the iPhone 5 at launch and sold it last month. Went back to the 4s. LTE and a slightly taller screen doesn't do it for me.

I bought the 4s on the first day and have never regretted it. I love the solid build and handling it is perfect for me. My sister's Samsung Galaxy SIII seemed like a huge brick to me, and I realized I'd never want anything that large.

The screen size of the 4s is perfect for me for everything I can think of. If I need a bigger screen, I use my iPad. I passed on the 5 because it was just too overall big for me. I'll see what happens with the 5s, but I'll stay off contract with my 4s if the large size becomes part of what Apple wants with the 5s. I'll hold onto my 4s and stay perfectly happy. I'll continue until a better, IMO, iPhone is released.

If I got even half that I'd be completely satisfied with keeping the 4S. Assuming iOS 7 runs better on it.

I get less then .5 Mbps down usually.

Yeah man.. Bigger screen, better performance, faster data, better camera just don't cut it!

Exactly!

Its like trying to tell if a picture is from a 4S or 5 is nearly impossible and completely impossible if not side by side.

Screen....meh its taller so text stayed the same size so that doesn't help my eyes. Just less scrolling, the part I don't mind.

Performance. Now Facebook opens .5 seconds faster! My 4S is fine currently its not like I had a problem with it being too slow.

And data. That's what I want. Verizon's 3G CAN be more then adequate but usually its terribly slow. I'd like LTE.

I just couldn't justify the 5 and I get iPhones at no expense to me via my employer. Instead of abusing that privilege I'm gonna hope for more this year, or keep my 4S until the 6.

I am not a fan boy. However, once I switched to my 4S, I realized what every 4S owner has said : Apple makes a damn fine product. Previously, I had gone through 3 Blackberries and 4 Androids I won't bother you with makes or models because none of them had even the remotest build quality and dependability of the 4S. I have no idea what may come next Feb when my 2-year is up. Maybe a 5S. But iOS7 runs fine right now. And the larger phone may not fit in my jeans front pocket.
