I know this is an old thread, but I figured I would add my expirience .:)

I have a White 32GB iPhone 4S that has a serial that begins with C39. My iPhone does have the spotlights and light bleed at the side (which you can really see when the phone is turned at an angle). The right side of the phone has more light bleed (I think that is what it is called) than the left side, but the bottom has it too along with a TINY whitish dot. I have thought about getting a replacement, but I really don't know how much better the replacment will be. This is my 2nd iPhone (returned the first to AT&T, swapped it out for brand new one that was still in box). This current phone is better than the first, but it still hasn't. My screen color is perfect though, no yellowing or anything like that. So what are your thoughts on my situation. Also, should I keep it? Replace it? Thanks!

Better keep it, because the replacement unit can be much worse , believe me - MUCH worse!

Yeah, it is pretty minor. Does your iPhone have any issues?

I suppose I am just lucky that I don't have a yellow screen, LOL.

I just replaced a 4s with the spotlights on top and recieved a brand new one with the same exact spotlights. DNP serial, unlocked 64 GB. I might return for a refund and just keep using my 4. i'll just put that grand twoards a 11" MBA.

Ridiculous!

Actually there are two types of screen, used in our iPhones- first is with visible spotlights , second - without them. There is no a defect with the phone, but just different manufacturing process among the screen brands, used in our devices.

The back light should not be seen
