Mine is just about right. I wouldn't say its very blue but its not yellow either. Definitely on the cooler side unlike my iPhone 4 that was slightly warmer. All the colours look just right.
For anyone that has two different iPhone's with different Screen colors (cooler/blueish vs warmer/yellowish)
Bring up this picture on both iPhones, and you will notice the difference in black levels (contrast ratio) between the two screens.

You will notice that the one with the warmer whites, actually shows the shadows of the pumpkin in more detail that the cooler whites version. Also if you look at the shadows eyes, they are more pronounced on the warmer than on the cooler screen. This means that the warmer colored screen is actually calibrated better.
You do realize "the gap" is in your mind?My iPhone 4 had an awesome screen, but very slightly blue.
I opened my 4S and almost puked, it was so yellow. Saturation and contrast were very muted compared to the 4, and the color temp was way beyond warm. I almost returned it.
Now, 4 days later, my 4S screen is much improved! I can almost say the whites are neutral, and the saturation and contrast are much better. My daughter has my old 4, so I keep comparing. The gap between the two has narrowed considerably since Friday. I'm not sure I want that gap to close completely.
Hang in there.
I actually compared my iPhone 4S with my sister's white iPhone 4 (also known to have warmer hues) and lo and behold, the screen on the 4S was significantly more yellow. Thus, I would rate hers to be more neutral, my original iPhone 4 to be more blue-tinted and my iPhone 4S to be yellow-tinted.

WOW. This actually worked! However, when comparing the two iPhones with the picture viewed from my 17" Macbook Pro with the glossy screen, the blue-tinted iPhone closely resembled what's shown on the MBP.

P.S. I added a poll!
I measured the Color Temp ("the color of white") of the iPhone 4S 64GB AT&T model.
The results are: The iPhone 4S has a color temp of 7953k, which is a blue-ish white. D65 (6500k) is the standard white point for film, Broadcast ect.
I used SpectraCal's CalMan software and a xrite eye-one pro meter to take the measurements.
